strange. a pop-up appears whenever I click a video saying that I'm not in Japan. The siten then shuts itself down leaving me with shattered excitement.

Well, there's a TV show called popjapan.tv. It airs on the International Channel if you get it. Even if you don't, you can still go to the website (popjapan.tv :P) and watch some there.

Speaking of JMV, are they similar to American music videos. I like to think that the ones on Popjapan.tv aren't anywhere near as trashy as say, what they put on MTV. Then again, there was that time when they did a special on the punk rock artist Hyde. X__X

NCast showcases Jpop, Trance, and Kpop.

Just change the little dropbar at the bottom to the one you want. They've been known to play rock as well, if that is too your liking.

JMV (usually called PV btw - Promotional Video) are not as trashy as Americans.... if you watch the right artist. Koda Kumi's 'Crazy for U' PV looked like she could mangle with Spears and X-tina. (She reminded me of X-tina in terms of clothing) Illumanti from Malice Mizer had some nudity in it and looked like it was the plot for a bad poRn video. (I would not recommend you watch it as your first PV) But, most of the artists I like and have seen don't strip down to nothing and bare all for their PVs unless they're desperate for attention. But then they usually release a racy photobook. :heh: So, I say that most Japanese artists get by with their 'cute' factor rather than 'sexy' factor. If they were sexy, it would make them AV girls. :eyespin:

Err... punk star Hyde is the lead singer of L'Arc~en~ciel. Perhaps since Laruku is about to release a new album (in over 2 years!) there will be a special on them as well....?

I think UssoKK was talking about the punk star Hide (http://www.hide-city.com/) ^^;
