Koyomi - Pretty cool guy.

Hitagi - Most interesting and unique female lead of recent time. She's hot and beautiful as well and that's never a bad thing.

Nadeko - Too adorable. I listen to Renai Circulation way too much.

Oshino - Badass.

This is one of those rare series where I've enjoyed almost all the interaction, so I voted for everyone except the Araragi sisters. I probably would have voted for them too if they were highlighted also in this show.

There isn't a whole lot of characters in this show, and beside some really liked the guy.

Out of all the characters, Senjougahara struck me as the most interesting to watch. But if I had to pick one for likability, it would be a tie between Hanekawa and Mayoi.

For the rest, I voted for Meme because his general, cool attitude towards things, Shinobu because even with so little screen time she really did manage to leave a strong impression and Hitagi's father because he seemed like a man trying to do the best for his daughter (not to mention that she most likely inherited her snark from him lol)

The rest ... meh, I liked them when they interacted with each other, but on their own, they didn't score well.

In fact, the thing that I believe excelled Bakemonogatari at was the many colourful between the cast. Aside form that and SHAFT's stylised approach to the adaption, not many of the characters ''clicked'' with me.

Mayoi - Because she's the closest to Koyomi spiritually and she's cute.

Nadeko - Because she's the last boss and she's cute

Shinobu - Because she's the strongest and she's cute

Karen - Because of wincest and she's cute

Tsukihi - Because of wincest and she's cute

Nadeko is #1 in my heart. Voiced by Hanazawa Kana, insanely cute, and yet not quite innocent as she looks. I just love her commercial:

Araragi: "Twister game? I don't know the rules, can you teach them to me?"
Nadeko: "Oh yes, I'll teach them... to your body."

I would have loved to see more moments like that in the series.

Then in no particular order:

Hitagi - Loved the banter between her and Araragi. Great personality, and she's very sexy.

Shinobu - loli vampire. Need I say more?

Meme - Very cool character, loved his attitude. Plus, he's voiced by Sakurai Takahiro, whose voice I'm pretty much gay for. Sigh... I wish I had such a great voice.

Hitagi too awesome to explain why, so I'll just say Senjougahara Fascination.

Nadeko first character by Hanazawa Kana I've heard making Nadeko extra cute, so adorable :love:.

Mayoi cute, hilarious stuttering, and awesomely amusing scenes with Koyomi.

Koyomi the show couldn't have existed without him, and wouldn't have be so funny at times without his clever comments, and comebacks. Plus he's good guy who managed to help all the girls ;).

Rest of characters were great still, just not enough to be favorites of mine in this series.

Mayoi - She will always be one of my favorites. Her arc gave her a developed personality and back story all in one go and the twist with her at the end was interesting.

Kanbaru - One of the characters that always makes me laugh. Her frank personality is charming and is a joy to watch.

Tsubasa - Again, another one of my favorites. I know I'm part of a small majority here, but I still think she would have been a better match for Araragi than Hitagi.

Oshino - An interesting character, shrouded in mystery and a strange aura. Not to mention that he pretty much solved every single oddity mystery in this series and let Araragi take the credit.

Black Hanekawa - She was annoying, but in a good way. The fact that she doesn't abuse her power over Hanekawa's body to do what she wants and rather tries to do what's best for Hanekawa definitely makes her a good character to me.

I actually like every characters. But vote for all will make the poll meaningless, so i ended up going for tactical votes instead, hope no one mind there...

- didn't vote for Senjougahara (the daughter) because she leads the group by too much,
- didn't vote for Hanekawa, Nadeko and Arararagi because i actually like Kanbaru and Mayoi more (while they get less votes)
- voted for the "fire sisters" for being well-dressed, and did i hear wincest?
- voted for Shinobu because the United Brothers of Lolicons will kill me if i do not
- voted for the cat because.... heck it's almost as awesome as Kanbaru
- Meme and Hitagi's father... well real men don't need my votes

Arararagi - He pretty much made the show. It wouldn't work with another protagonist. Hitagi's remarks would go nowhere and Kanbaru's and Mayoi's interactions wouldn't have been nearly as amusing.

Hitagi - I loved their interactions, even though I felt that Hitagi pushed the line between acceptable and date abuse.

Mayoi - Ridiculously funny. I wish she appeared more often, and I felt that she and Araragi were the funniest duo.

Nadeko - Cute cute cute! Definitely my favorite character. Too bad she didn't have as many conversation scenes during her arc as the others, I think.

Araragi sisters - I loved the episode previews and their appearances at the end of each arc, since I appreciated the return to normalcy they signaled. I hope their novels are animated.
Also, funny that one of the sisters has more votes than the other.

Hitagi : My fav character of the show and one of my fav anime girl. Beautiful, great personnality and her relationship with Araragi is beautiful. One of the best anime pairing :love:

Mayoi Hachikuji and Suruga Kanbaru for being the two most interesting, entertaining, hilarious characters in this anime, and tips for having the best story arcs as well.

And an extra third vote goes to Shinobu, for being a badass lolita vampire mute.
I'd have to say my least favorite is Nadeko, because she's coupled with two of my least favorite aspects... sickeningly moe, and seductive...

But overall this was a great series, with wonderful characters, that managed to not be dull even with all the dialogue.

Araragi: While admittedly not the best character, definitely fairly entertaining. Funny reactions, and his struggle with Chronic Hero Syndrome is a nice touch

Oshino: Definitely awesome, laid back. He feels like the strongest character despite his nature. Eccentric mentor, shows what Koyomi could become in the future

Hachikuji: Well, just entertaining, seeing her bounce of other characters

Hanekawa: A fairly sane character. Maybe it's just me, but I enjoyed her more than Senjougahara
