i didnt make a poll because theres way too many games. Just voice ur opinions, im partially doing this to see wat games i should pick up ^^
so far i think the best one is Advance Wars 1 & 2
im considering to buy either Mario and Luigi or Sonic Battle. Anyone know which is better? (in ur opinion)
My favorite are the Metroid games by far, followed by the Zelda games. I guess I just like the exploration nature of them. My gf swears by FF Tactics... she played the hell out of that one.
They just rereleased Metroid 1, called Zero Mission now. I just picked it up.
I'd have to say Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga.
Meh, it's short. but it's really fun.
2nd place would go to Final Fantasy Tactics Advance.
The best GBA game ever would be Zone Of The Enders - Fist Of Mars (http://www.konamijpn.com/products/zoe_gba/us/index.html).

Don't forget Fire Emblem, that was a great SRPG. If you liked Shining Force you will like FE.

wats the differnce of FFTA and FE??
question: does FFTA consider wat type of weapon u have? like spearmen > swordsmen > archers. u know the typical stradegy game of unit superiority over another... often creating a "rock paper scissor" system.

I like the new Megaman games [have played Megaman Battle Network 3: White and Megaman Zero].

Here's my list:
-Metroid Fusion
-Metroid: Zero Mission
-Zone of the Enders: Fist of Mars/2713 Testament(best story/characters on the GBA)
-Super Robot Wars A
-Super Robot Wars R
-Super Robot Wars D
-Super Robot Wars: Original Generation
-Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow
-Tactics Ogre: Gaiden
Don't forget Fire Emblem, that was a great SRPG. If you liked Shining Force you will like FE.
I completely forgot Fire Emblem :heh:
That's a massive game too :)
And Golden Sun is fun, I played it like 2 weeks to finish one part :) and then 3 weeks for the final part. :heh:
My Fav games for the GBA are all the original mario games and Golden Sun 1 and 2.
I completely forgot Fire Emblem :heh:

I played Golden Sun for like 3 days, and when I was stuck on one level my friend was like:
"Dude...you're on the last level."
Overally that game was too short, and too boring.
right now im playing SRW D again
I thought Sword of Mana was pretty fun, to short thuogh. I think they should put the other Sieken Densetsu games on th GBA. Expecially Sieken Densetsu 3 since that was never released to the USA

Plenty of differences in the two. FFTA starts off with a 10 minute cut scene, while FE starts off with a tutorial that gets the player into the action immediately. In FE you actually get to control all of your characters. FE has a lot more characters, a very balanced weapon triangle, a nice storyline, and Roy's dad is in it.
Oh wait, this is a bit biased...
Anyway, FE is the better choice. FFTA dissappoints.
I have to agree I didn't care much for FFTA, I didn't like all the changes and such and I just couldn't get into it. FE also plays out a bit more differently, a lot more like Shining Force then FFT or Orge Tactics wich FFTA plays like.

I love the Metroid games for GBA.
I really liked the first Castlevania game.
The Zelda one was great of course as it was the wonderful SNES one.\
Advance Wars was cool though I usually don't go for that type of game.

Metroid Zero Mission, Metroid Fusion, Sword of Mana, and Yoshi's Island are the only games I have that I've bothered to complete. The rest bored me relatively quickly, aside from Rockman Zero (which still annoys me to no end every time I play it).
So far I liked: all Metroid games, Fire emblem, golden sun, advanced wars 1 and 2. And, I know one of you guys said Prince of Tennis. I didn't know that game was out, but I'm definitely lookin in to it.

Rather than defining one 'best', I'll name a couple categorized into multiplayer and single-player. The multiplayer games are the ones I buy because they're worth it ... otherwise I just ROM. Hee hee! In no particular order.
Best Single:
Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga
Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire
Fire Emblem
Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town
Metroid Fusion
Best Multi: (all obviously have single-pak)
Advance Wars 2
Bomberman Tournament
Puyo Pop
Chu Chu Rocket
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles (it counts, right? Right?!)
My personal favorite is AW2, but it's not completely balanced which is a shame.

i got FFTA. it's a great game, i love it so far.
anyone have suggestions for a "quick-play" game? like the type of games where u just pick up the GBA and play for the bus ride or while u wait for an appointment. Something that doesnt require time or a save file technically. Like Puzzle fighters or Sonic Battle.
All three castlevania series on GBA are the best.
For me it's the 2 Golden Sun games. But then again I mostly bought rpg's for the GBA.

You should, the PoT game is really good, even if its not what you would expect... the game contains many mini games, and a demo to the upcoming tennis game.
It's the first GBA game that goes to the 128bit "wall" of the GBA , and its kinda fun that it is a game containing mini games ... the reason for that is that it features really really nice art and many quotes of the game characters spoken by the seiyûs in good quality :)
And yes, INUI JUICE IS IN THE GAME TOO!!!!! :D :D :D

Double Dragon Advance is surprisingly a lot of fun. It's an almost replica of the arcade game (which I loved) and they added a bunch of new moves to make it more interesting and more fun. Since it's faithful to the arcade, it has a lot of cheapness to it, mass gang attack... it's difficult to win the game without taking advantage of the computer AI but I highly recommend it to everyone who owns a gameboy advance. it's not long but it's so much fun to play if you want something very quick to pick up and play without much thought... very good if your mind is lazy and just wants to be entertained! :)
I like
Golden Sun 1 & 2
Advance Wars
Fire Emblem
FFTA
Megaman Zero

hmm maybe that Wario Ware one? That's a fun game. Also try some other puzzle ones. there's this one with a bird and a stick that rotates - guess it's a helicopter - it starts with a 'K' i do believe. Kay my description probably doesn't really help much :P Actually I dont think it's released in North America.
Maybe a fighter? Guilty Gear X? One of those Game & Watch ones or another sort of collection-type game? There are those arcade collections (Joust is awesome!)
Oh and I'd get Mario and Luigi before Sonic Battle.
Most of the better games have been mentioned like the Castlevania and Mario ones
...um...yeah i can't think of any others to add at the moment

FFTA
Puzzle Fighter
Advance Wars
I also thought the Rainbow Six title was surprisingly well done and true to the formula if not the format.
Based on the comments in this thread, I will finally stop procrstinating and pick up Fire Emblem. :)

Earlyer this year, Its a remake of SF1 and much has changed (3 new characters, totally new storyline for the most part, a few new battles, and a unique Card system) Shining Force Neo (PS2) is coming out next year, Shining Tear's is already out shoudl come out to teh states early next year I think.
I can't stand FFTA (Don't care for FFT was way to frelling easy for my tastes) But I have to say my favs are...
FE (6+7)
SFRoDD(Its easyer then the first game which is sad but <3 SF)
Metriod series
Advance Wars series
Kingdom Hearts CoM
FF Dawn of Souls (Love FF1 remake 2 is just okay)
Rockman Zero series
Rockman.exe series (AKA Battle Network)
I'm a large RPG fan...

Fire Emblem
Gakuten Saiban 3 (best lawyer's game. There are others?)

There's the remake of the first (I don't remember very well), called Shining Force - Resurrection of the Dark Dragon. Then there are two games called Shining Soul but they're Action RPGs. Anyway, the logos are quite similar, so they are a "sequel" or "prequel" or whatever.
