I'm debating what to use the time I'm not attending family events the next few days for - I want to catch up on some of the 2017 shows I haven't seen before the end of the year, but I also want to clear some of the massive backlog of photos I have to edit from events this year.

That is indeed a very impressive line-up. Hopefully kitee will have some nice stories to tell from this event. Which of Summer 2017 shows are you most looking forward to, by the way?

I've kept forgetting to mention it until now, but kitee is flying to Anime Expo in Los Angeles in a few hours because one of her friends invited her to go with her this year. I actually wasn't that jealous, because AX is know for heat, crowds (100000+ people in 2016 versus 23000 for Seattle's Sakuracon), and the combination of the two (outdoor lineups for some things, etc.) until I looked at this year's artist lineup for the two AniSong concerts:
