It seems like the closer I get to publishing the second volume, the more the world and my brain conspire to derail me. Between snow storm fun and distractions from things as stupid as Facebook politic ranting to Olympics....
I need some way to turn off everything but "author stuff" on FB ... but FB is all about "mingling all your privates with everyone elses" and preventing compartmentalization of tasks or communications.
The Kuroneko one struck me as very "dere" mode. As for the Shinobu cosplayer, I think this search is all her. If so, I don't think it's the first time I've noted one of her cosplays: http://ke-taro.jugem.jp/?search=%B0%BD%BF%CD
Provincial holiday here and I don't have classes on Monday until the evening anyway. Meaning I did the usual thing students do on long weekends: sleep in and then realize "f***, it's the last day of the long weekend and I still haven't made much of a dent in that backlog of homework I was going to clear".
Very nice outfit on the 'mrsktokei' Kuroneko ... okay, the 'ke-taro' Shinobu cosplay nearly had me checking myself in for observation. Man, those legs - especially that shot of her skipping across the crosswalk. Durrrrrrr, gonna go shovel snow a while.
I'm wide awake at 6am, had to help my wife get out of our driveway as I don't have a snowblower.
I did more or less figure she'd be a must have for you.
Aside from some $30-35 stuff I got as souvenirs at cons I've always end up having to take a pass on these figures since I'm a student and don't want to have to explain the expense to my parents. Especially since I want to do a massive overhaul of my aging computer gear at some point in the next couple years. Usually, I don't regret it too much, but this is one of those cases where I suspect I'll end up giving in and paying through the nose to acquire one in good condition a few years from now, along with the GoodSmile's versions of Hitagi and Hanekawa. That pose... especially from 3/4 angle.
I got into a facebook chat with the Tsika model tonight. She's hilarious. It was nearly 2am in Poland, the more she chatted (sleepier she got), the funnier and more excited she got about the chat. Ostensibly we were just discussing some of the contract details but it quickly derailed into a brainstorm of her suggesting ideas, showing me outfit elements, and such. Extra silly was added because English isn't her first language and she was smacking her head repeatedly over mistakes and happy to have someone to practice her English with.
Funny girl. They're cutting costs because the photographer's boyfriend is a bass guitar player and he has access to a stage. The light engineer is being paid with a case of beer. I know the photographer does excellent work but it's kind of funny how amp'd up they're getting.
Most of what they've done has been "goth vampire peaceful cemetary" stuff and this gives her and her photographer some "kick ass" to add to the portfolio.
I hope it works out. I do have another Elisanth photo I could use but I'd rather use it on the Japan volume.
