That was immediately after A's, and StrikerS showed some promise- but soon after it was plagued by horrible animation and bad plot progression. Tsuzuki tried to go for a more military feel but quite frankly he sucks at the details, and when he decided to screw the male characters and feed the yuri machine to full drive, that's when I washed my hands off it.
The one thing I remember the most from those times is how it seemed to all of us that Nanoha franchise was going to follow the path of Shounen Jump trinity and all the fanfics resulted from the euphoria. Had I known that it was an illusion to be crushed, I would've jumped into the bandwagon.
Of course, only fools smoke. I'm no exception. But it's hard for me to stop since I simply don't have a source of motivation to drive me to. But compared to high school-up-to-early college days, it's considerably better nowadays.
