Thanks for the rep in the Kamisama Dollies thread. TBH, I didn't every imagine the responses when it came to defending Mahiro ... I mean, I liked the girl, and she a ton of fun to watch, but at the end of the day, she swooped down with her ZGMF-1000 Custom and imprisoned Hibino with a guy ... and left.

I can understand that she's thoughtless about what harm her actions are bringing thanks to her upbringing, but geez, Hibino didn't just go to the hotel on her own and stayed with a guy she didn't know, a crazy girl put her there!

Well, at least we can move on from that now. Too bad the show is only going to end soon, I think it would've benefited from going for another 12/13 episodes, considering how much material they had.

Right then, I had sometime to check, and it looks that the reason I wasn't able to post on your blog the comment was due to it's length -_- me and my longass ramblings ...

I split the comment in two, even though I dislike making successive comments (moreso with long ones) sorry it took that long to come back to you.

I'm not ready to call MPD a "failure" at this point. I think it's in trouble, and walking a fine line, but it's not yet a failure.
What I meant with failure wasn't in the traditional sense, but in that it would fail to meet the expectations it had set out to achieve (a la Blood-C) Too strong a wording on my part, I'll admit.

I'm neither an Ikuhara fanboy or a hater. I think he's fabulously talented, with some bad tendencies. I hope that's come across.
It did come across to me whenever I read what you have to say about the show or the man, but I wanted to clarify my position on him, after what I've seen on the thread.

If anything, I do agree with you that the man is talented, and has a lot of his habits and tendencies seep into the shows he works on, but I wouldn't call them bad.

We'll see where it goes from here. #9 is a big one.
    Personally, I'm banking on #12

Thanks, Arabesque - sorry you weren't able to post for some reason on the blog. A couple of quick points:

    - I'm not ready to call MPD a "failure" at this point. I think it's in trouble, and walking a fine line, but it's not yet a failure.
    - I'm neither an Ikuhara fanboy or a hater. I think he's fabulously talented, with some bad tendencies. I hope that's come across.

We'll see where it goes from here. #9 is a big one.

We are all of similar mind set then huh? Except when it comes to Hanasaku Iroha and Claude

And let's be honest, your blogging R-15 because you actually like it, and don't care about what others have to say about it.

I know that's the reason why I watch it

I did watch the second episode of R-15, yeah, but it sort of slipped my mind to post about it in the thread.

Um, like the first episode, I liked it. Though it had more to do with the premise itself than the actual jokes or visuals, and the idea where you have a porn writer going to this special school with other talented student body and what not that drew me in.

I want to get more indepth about why I liked it once I process the third episode as well, since while it clearly lewd (oh so lewd) the main reason why I like it is because it's such a fun idea to have for your series ^_^ sure the designs of the characters are pretty generic looking, and the jokes are hit and miss but I thought that it's own honesty with what it is and what it's trying to do (present a romantic story while having an erotic plot element) was actually sort of ...

    Well you said it

But here's the thing - and the part where I know I'm going to be isolating myself on a very lonely island. Not only is this a good show, but it's actually a sweet show. And not only is it a sweet show, but it's actually - stay with me here - sort of deep
I wouldn't say deep, but yeah, count me another resident on this lonely island The show is sort of sweet. Of course, I need to watch an episode of Ikoku Meiro no Croisée afterwards in order to regain some self respect, but that beside the point.

Then again, I have much higher tolerance than most for crude anime. Just the other weekend I rewatched Panty & Stocking on CR from start to finish, and despite it being among the most shameless anime I have seen in a long long time, I thought that it managed to embody the very ideal of cool despite the Adult Swim type of humor. So it could have to do with me not really minding the sexual element much and focusing more on the meat of the tale presented.

PS oh that's good to know that Divine's taste match up with my own then. Great minds think alike amirite or what?
