I'd just say 'energy manipulation' describe it as the ability to create beams of destructive energy that can be shot or held and leave it at that. Vague, but restrictive enough not to make everything and everyone go haywire.

What would it take for a person to have super-speed, including the appropriate reflex time, thought process speed, and muscle enduance? I'm talking Matrix bullet-time here. CAn I chalk it down under super-charged nervous system or does it concerns more?

Chaos, we had a discussion about this back in the OC thread, (probably around page 30+++) and the results of that discussion resulted in Keroko having to rebuild Keroko the OC.

In a nutshell, it won't work out because the body can't bear with the strain. the amount of inertia exerted on the body would maim it over time.

Okay, but what would it take to move that fast?

...As a confirmation, I didn't literally mean moving as fast as a bullet. But something like 2-3 times faster than the average human.

Keroko-v1 tried to fulfil most of the requirements - a specialty in bioelectrics to jack up response time and nervous stimulation, solving most of the response issues, but it failed at the physiological stand point. i suggest backlog breaking for the specifics.

Well, regarding the time dilation ability, currently, it's impossible because of the canon convention that typical esper abilities do not influence the human body in any way, shape, or form. Exception is Auto Regeneration, but it falls under the Special Level 0 class so it can be overlooked. So direct manipulation of the human body is impossible in canon sense.

Well, regarding the time dilation ability, currently, it's impossible because of the canon convention that typical esper abilities do not influence the human body in any way, shape, or form. But with Auto Regen it does open up a world of possibilities. Think about what it would take to recover from massive internal bleeding and organ failure. Then there's Konori whose eyes can be altered to see X-ray. Also, Accelerator can use his power to speed up his metabolic rate to heal his wounds. Though it was not mention how long it would take... I suppose the time it would take flying from Japan to Russia.

So it is possible, but you have to draw a line. We can't have people changing their DNA and morphing a blade-arm, or suddenly growing spikes out of their body, or changing the carbon in their skin to become a diamond armor >.>.

Actually, there ARE body alterers. ESP [Metamorphose] - the ability to make changes to the ESPer's body(i assume it's merely physiological. hormonal changes, melanin production, the classic I-CHANGE-MY-FACE-TO-LOOK-LIKE-PIERCE-BROSNAN, stronger bones, etc (which i used for one of my OCs), but not, as above mentioned, blade arms, Ultimate Shield and the like), and there are only 3 of those in the City if my source is right.

In this case it's probably possible to make the body slightly better at withstanding stress, but the issue this time would be response.

Crap I just remembered; TK's new OC used regeneration as his esper power. I forgot about the details about how he does it, but those who recall it, does it fit this canon stipulation?

Lol, and I thought Pressurization is a good enough skill. Oh well, I'm still sticking to basic physics and no augmenting the human body. I got a Compressor (Level 4), an Igniter (does not produce flame, but can melt most things; Level 3) and a Bass Jammer (amplifies the force that can be created by music; is constrained to bass tones; Level 3)

That Bass Jammer must be female, pseudotsun, invariably cute and totally mortified of BARNACLES.
