Yeah, no problem . A couple of days would be nice, although I do sheepishly want to say that if I don't get it done in the next week, I'll be away on holiday until school starts again, so my chapter may be delayed as well .

Third Day One posted - 2233 words.

This chapter is dedicated to the fact that the English voice actress for Magarita Surprise -- my favorite character of GrimGrimoire -- is also the English voice actress of Yukiko Amagi, my favorite character of Persona 4. Which is mostly relevant because I'm playing P4G a lot this month.

Ah! I envy you so much! I have the Golden but I'm waiting to see if my brother (the live-in one) will get me a Vita. Hey, what do you think about the new Chie? I have to sadly admit that I cringed badly when I heard her in Arena.

Also, wait, what? Amanda is Margarita?

The new Chie is a lot better than she was on Arena, since she was just starting on that one. She does start weak but she gets a lot better as long as she doesn't raise her voice. Also good on you spawn for getting things done since I sacrificed all of my free time to play it, it wasn't a smart decision. On the other hand, I am just missing two trophies =D

Speaking of which, I've been meaning to ask: Is that Marie in your avatar, Laith??

I see...I have to say, from the little clips I've seen from Atlus, I'm still not entirely convinced. I really hope I'll be able to get used to it or it's going to be a long year.

Wait, trophies? What trophies? How are you liking the changes? Is it true the team no longer loses their weaknesses at max SL-rank? (And damn you, Atlus, for nerfing the Pringles trick. Not necessarily a bad thing, mind you. Just have to complain about it by default.)

Ya, it's Marie. She is lovely~ (Not as much as Yukiko mind you but eeeeh)

You get used to her. She has her ups and downs but, she is better than Arena (And I can say that because I played Arena just yesterday and geesh she sounds bad on it.)

Also trophies, you know like achievements on the Xbox, the ones that only work to measure your time wasted on the game =V. The changes are awesome, the new events are awesome (Operation Up and close A.K.A Babe hunt ver. P4 was hilarious, the even in the new weather (thundercloud) is hilarious, ski trip has the bestest continuity nod, the new dungeon is entertaining if a bit of a slug. And yeah the team doesn't lose their weakness at max rank. They get Evade [Insert weakness here] instead (75% chance of avoiding the attack). This basically means that Yukiko and Teddie (who didn't lose their weakness on Vanilla P4) got better.

Also I am more of an SMT fan than a Persona one =V (Devil Survivor 2 being my favorite game of the series)

Hahaha, I see! I started wondering; she doesn't look all that much like Marie, but the cap with the golden "V" was a tip-off. Yeah, I already like her and I haven't really met her yet; FSteak is awesome.

Oh. Yeah, I guess it's to be expected. And yes, Arena was very cringe-worthy, hence my worry. I suppose we'll just have to make-do, though.

Ah, so you get to experience more of Atlus' sadism, rofl. I've seen a fight for the bonus boss on DDS1 and man was that painful to watch. I don't imagine Devil Survivor is any better. They get off on our tears, after all.

Well finding good-non spoilerish Marie arts is hard.

I wouldn't call myself trusthworthy =V (Naoto gets Heat Riser, so that's one turn more for Hassou Tobi hijincks. Also Rise can cast Mind and Power charge so that's even more hilarious.) Thunder is basically rain with thunder, so yah no social linking. (I think rare shadows appear more on it but I ain't sure.)

DDS1 bonus boss is special and that's all I am saying. (Ahaha… haha… ha… aaah.) But DeSu is better, it's bonus boss only takes days instead of weeks =V

Okay, I heard Rise can participate in all out attacks now, but she also gets spells? Dayum Golden did some nice modifications. I think I'll be laughing my head off once I get that Yoshi going. Yeesh, going to be such a beast.) Shucks. Figures it'd be that. Well, there's always Hermit and Sun in those days. (Well, rare shadows appear on rainy days already, so it makes sense that with thunder there would be others that show up.)

... ... ... ... ... Atlus really gets off on players' tears. Only days, huh? Man, I mean, P4 was really nice about bosses in general. Granted, I haven't tried Expert yet, but for all the fuss that everyone did about Shadow Yukiko (Moczo included, who was completely paranoid about me being really prepared to face her), I just walked in and trounced her in like four turns or something. She only cast Burn to Ashes once, I think; twice tops. And okay, so Margaret is not easy but she's also not evil.

Rise helps out randomly. She usually buffs Attack/Defense/Speed, heals HP and Sp But if you got all the buffs and almost everything full she charges both mind and power on all the party at the same time without penalty (!!!)

What level were you when fighting Shadow Yukiko by the by?

Sora, Laith, would you mind moving the serious Persona discussion to General Chat? The usual casual chatter is one thing but eight posts of serious game discussion really ought to be in an appropriate thread.

Yes, boss. We really should have moved it around post #4, but we got a bit carried away.

Somewhat on point, I like in spawn's new chapter how Lillet almost figured out what Margarita is up to, then shied away from doubting her friend. It feels very in-character for the person who made sure that the mole for the Archmage and the foreign spy both made it through the plot alive and well and took the trouble to request that Lujei tell Opalneria to ease off on being an annoying lion-stalker! Lillet's definitely the kind of person who has a wide-ranging allowance for redemption, and that would likely carry over to a certain naivete in terms of trusting others' intentions without evidence to the contrary.

(I note that in Advocat's case, she has that "evidence to the contrary" right from the start: he's a devil in a universe where devils are, in fact, trying to seduce people into condemning their immortal souls to Hell! Hence her Loop I distrust of him!)

Speaking of Advocat, it seems there'll be some hooks to work off with regard to him here, too...

Sorry everyone, but I might need an extension on writing the next Day . I'm a bit busier this week than I thought, so I probably won't be able to get the chapter written until after the New Year. I may try to work on it on the plane while I'm on holiday!

(By the way, did you know that the collected chapters of "The Loops Before" is more than 100 pages long???)

...Double spaced, right? There's no way we're Nanowrimo winners on this fic yet at 2.5k / chapter and 14 chapters. (1 page single spaced is ~500 so 100 pages single spaced...)

Hm; if dc compiled the chapters into a single document it'd be simple enough for her to run a word-count on it...

...presuming we can find her under the giant heap of workload she's buried under. (No problem with an extension from me, either, btw.)

It's kind of funny; when I first read this, my immediate thought was, "It's hard to write on a plane; even slight turbulence makes it difficult to keep my handwriting legible!" Then I realized that, duh, other people use things called "laptops" and "tablets" and even "smartphones" to do their writing, where handwriting is not a relevant influence!

It's 33 021 words; singled spaced, but since it's internet paragraphs there's the extra line between each paragraph so it probably padded out the page count .

LOL, I'm actually going to be handwriting for most of the plane ride XD;;--my sister wants to use our computer to watch movies . I had to save all my story documents as epub to read off my Kobo if I have to refer to past events!

......and I'm really sorry , still no chapter from me. I haven't even gotten a chance to read the previous chapter yet, although I'll see if I can get something up before the end of the month. I do have a midterm coming up though, so no promises, but that will be my goal!
