...look at all the pretty hands that were made in this game.
Two baiman tsumo for the win: both similar composition.
Playing into that Chinitsu pretty much lost me the game.
But, I did something fairly interesting in East 4 (linked), where I had declined a win on an 8-sou, in favor of a 5-6-7 sanshoku. Being in temp. furiten, I couldn't accept the 5-sou, after the 8-sou was ponned. However, after my draw, that lulled the 5-sou as safe, and I nailed the player across from me, in retaliation for the previous hand.
Now. On that chinitsu. I failed to account for it, as I was focused on the guy across me. After hitting him, like hell did I want to give points back to him. So, I became focused on his hand and failing to account for the player to the right (or the left for that matter).
Looking at the chinitsu hand. It developed into a 4-side wait. Hot damn. Either way, I was faced with a dangerous 4-7 sou wait. And the 4-sou riichi tile signaled "safe".
Called "riichi" 7-times this game, and only scored on one of 'em.
The case of West 1-0. This one was better off being held. But at the same time, the pair of wests denied me a yaku. Last hand. Chose to riichi dropping the 4-man to lure out 7-man. But alas, it was a death tile.
East 4 was hilarious though.

well that last hand i should just go betaori there....
Oh, that's gotta hurt.
To be honest, I woulda dropped the "ton tanki" for a "4-7 sou Nobetan", as you had done.
However, come to think of it. That 8-dora should be enough to scare the pants off of anyone (and I'm not talking about Shizu). XD
usually i would keep that ton tanki but with hand reek of honitsu from west i just can't discard my 4&7 sou though ton it's not really safe but there's still a chance other than west to keep it so i discard it.
8 dora+ chun + probably honitsu even a tsumo would be hurt

Never underestimate the power of dealer.

Almost perfect game, if 4th honba wasn't a double ron.
Kazoe-yakuman for the win.
Prior to this game. I played a couple of games prior, where I completely chubbed it in East round. Well, this game made up for it. One of the boneheaded games, I'll post later for a dish of ranting on it. For now, I'll just revel on this one.
Anyways. On the Yakuman. I was doing my usual delay the riichi-thing. When I got tsumo, my initial thought was: "Oh no, I shoulda called riichi". But of course, with a hand like that, I called for the win, rather than discarding (which would have been stupid to do anyways).

overall not really good since i get ron'd twice but that Riichi Ippatsu Tsumo on east round 2 it's just feel so good when you able to win with your favorite yaku
Btw, I have to wonder if Tenhou allows Parenchan. I've yet to see an occurrence.
from documentation here i guess not.
with only 25k point to play i don't think parenchan is really needed
Poor guy. That double ron killed him. My sanshoku came on time.

just as Regal said never underestimate the power of dealer, especially on south 4th
Hmm. Just looking at the points table.
Y'did a Tacos mode, which involved a fast East start only to fizzle in the South round. But, looking at the point exchanges, pretty much sat high and mighty, while the "peons" with lower scores exchanged points amongst themselves.
Oh the cruelty.
This involved a double ron, in which, the player who fell into it simply did not have enough points to survive; and the other winning player had a bigger hand than my own. In the same scenario, the dying player called kan; and the unwanted kan draw was his demise.
EDIT: Oh wow. Thank goodness player to the left did not call riichi, else triple ron. XD
And another example. Not my game, but KholdStare's:
Both examples involved death by double ron, in which the kan draw was discarded in order to retain tenpai. Oh, the dangers of that.
well my luck rather good today as you can see in this one , riichi 2 times and all of them were ippatsu tsumo
well this is from 3 players mahjong though, but here dealer 7 consecutive winning shame no 8th since one of them already in negative
