Sacrifice three goats in the midnight of a full moon.
Or give yourself a rest, whichever is easier.
Inspiration? Easy: I read stuff you guys write :P
My #1 tip? Sleep.
Seriously--whenever I'm bagged out from too many late nights, my writing production slows down. Whether it's working on an existing story or trying to start a new one, exhaustion always slows me up. I mention this because I know the overwork you put yourself through, dc!
Apart from that, I find that the most valuable thing is to always write
every day. If Story A or Genre X is not flowing for you, then peck away at Story B or do something in Genre Y. Maybe that epic novel I wanted to write didn't come, but at least I got a couple of omake done.
That kind of thing. In that way, you're always moving something towards completion, and sooner or later, things get done. Even if it ends up being ten years later.
@Laith: I only have two goats, does that still work?
@yui: And I get inspiration off of seeing what you draw....HOW DOES IT ALL START?!?!?!?
@Dezo: Sleep? What is this creature you're talking about?
Hm, that's good...I've been scratching a little at various stories, but it seems all I feel up to doing lately is re-read old fanfics =/. I think it's the effect of reading too many scientific journals in a week @_@.
Random: New episode of
7 700 words already @_@............and still not finished Chapter 6. There's like, a third of the chapter left if I give it the same amount of detail as the previous parts. Possibly less if I get lazy or artistically dramatic and slice out a lot of planned stuff @_@. But
Sorry for the whining XD;;, I'm just utterly exhausted from school and from trying to wrestle Chapter 6 into shape
. But for lovers of Hayate x Vivio Files, Shigan just posted a new story, yay!
Burdens of Rank
Thanks for the heads-up, dc! Nice story, and I liked the parallelism of the finishing two scenes.
Is it wrong of me to be weirdly happy that Shigan borrowed one of my original creations for the name of the world Fate was away on?
However, how many stories is it that are now stacked up behind "Prerogative of the Brave," now? Back to work, girl!
Just think, if this was NaNoWriMo month, that one-third of the chapter left is about a day and a half's worth of work!
Bwahahaha jailbait fic ;D *high-fives Shigan*
Keep going dc!! *delivers shiploads of coffee*
I didn't realize that Shigan used one of your world names!
. I've finished filling all the holes between the scenes, and now I have only the last bit at a teahouse to fill in
. Although I seem to be getting lured away by oneshots from a different fandom ^^;;...I stayed up until the early AM finishing a new oneshot
*sucks down the coffee* WHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Yep, "Aldu" was from "Actually One of the Better Excuses."
Ooooh, almost done with Chapter 6!
Must go reread fic now!
And MWAHHAHAHAHA! *maniacal laughter*
... *editing furiously*
In regard to your comment about Hayate and Vivio's races, I note that no one seemed to have a problem believing that Shamal, Signum, and Vita were Hayate's relatives in
, so whatever ethnicity Ancient Belkans (like both Vivio and the Wolkies) belong to, it's apparently close enough to Japanese that it doesn't provoke "Whoa, your family's a bunch of foreigners?" responses...
Or maybe Dr. Ishida was too polite to inquire?
But yeah, I didn't even think about that instance as a good example of perceived ethnicity in Nanoha-verse!
Oh, and I forgot to advertise here, but I posted a new Nanoha fic called
Huh, you're right, nobody ever seemed to question about the Wolkies o.O; I guess I simply leapt from the observation that Arisa was blonde and half foreign, Fate was blonde and treated as a foreigner, so therefore Vivio, being blonde should also appear foreign.
...but then we have the Wolkies who have rainbow coloured hair ... lol you're right, I really don't make any sense.
They were trying to be polite, I mean it would be quite rude to say that to the lonely kid.
Overly Helpful Adults: Hayate-san...I don't think those strange foreigners are your relatives.
Hayate: What do you mean? They're from my home country...
Overly Helpful Adults: You are clearly Japanese, Hayate-san....and they are clearly not related to you...
Hayate: Then...what are you saying?
Overly Helpful Adults: We think that they are impostors, probably here to kidnap you and steal your wealth. Especially your house. Real estate is a good way to launder money. The concern they are showing is probably faked so that you will trust them and make yourself vulnerable to their manipulations.
Overly Helpful Adults: ....
Shit, we just made the lonely, ill, paraplegic little girl cry...
...Though if Gil Graham is her legal guardian under Earth law as well, then there's a connection to England so that Dr. Ishida might have known that and assumed it was somewhere in her family line, too.
LOL @ dc's gag
Actually, does anyone recall whether ordinary people aside from Hayate's doctor and the medical staff interacts with the Wolkies?
Shamal did small talk/gossiping with some housewives, Signum had a job in a dojo and Vita played with old people. Zafira was the pet.
Random stuff that no one cares about!

4. I wrote 5 pages of "Prerogative of the Brave" Chapter 7...only to re-read it and hate every word @_@. Then I spent a bus ride to school thinking of the random-est things ever and got an epiphany on how to approach the chapter
. So hopefully all systems are a GO for Chapter 7! ^_^

Working and studying is bad for one's health, work and education. Also free time. God I just have Saturdays and Sundays to rest, with the random day here and there. It's awful. (Let's be miserable together DC)
5. OMG Hunger Games in 1 week!
I really wish I didn't hate the main character so much. I liked the setting and the other characters but her... uggggh. Probably gonna watch the movie 'cause my sister and mother are fans.
Also my writing itch has been bothering recently. That's a good sign... I think. The problem is the time to do so, which I don't have. God, I want for the holidays to arrive soon.
