The Cult of Psycho-Moe
@skane, you mispell pyscho and where is the Nice boat?
Eh? Where did I misspell "psycho"? Nice-Boat-chan will get her share too. It takes time to upload images.
you kaede group image has "Pysched Kaede" i assume it was meant to be pyscho kaede.
Ah no, I was using it as a verb, not an adjective. See the dictionary definition for further clarity.
Zomg, I can't believe I overlook this place.
Definitely joining in the support of all Yanderes out there
Less normal, more psycho! ^^
NICE BOAT banzaiiiii~~
Three more for the road. The Sakura one holds distinction as being one of my longest lasting desktop wallpaper. For some reason, I can't help but laugh at the sight of Sakura venting her frustration on a fish.
Poor fish ;____;
Well knowing a bit about her story makes it understandable
I had watched the F/SN Anime in anticipation of Sakura's much talked about Psycho-Moe. As you can imagine, I was... disappointed. Oh sure, there was a piddling amount, but not the torrent I was hoping for. Pity this is unlikely to get a KyoAni remake, although I have read rumours that a remake IS in the making. By which company though, I do not know.
Oh well, some pictures from Higurashi.
Well all isn't lost. Mirrormoon is still translating "sakura's route" for the game. What can be better than watching the anime than actually playing the original source it was from
Though the things is that you have to get past Saber and Rin's route first
But I am sure you can do that within a year (as it would probably take Mirrormoon 1 and a half years before the patch is released to play
i haven't heard of any FSN remake and i think we will likely see a series of Fate/Zero movie first before FSN gets a remake. Besides Tsukihime is the first in line for any typemoon remake.
Fate/Zero is just so full of win
Two more pictures, this time of my favourite character from Black Lagoon. I'm a little unsure on whether Roberta deserves the status of being a psycho though, compared to say... Hansel and Gretel. The thing about Roberta is that she exudes a lot of badassness, and it tends to overshadow whatever other traits she might have.
Manga-readers though, will agree with me that in the recent chapters, Roberta is definitely following a path of insanity. A
-path of insanity, no less (vengeance is a common motivator for outbursts of Psycho-Moe). I won't spoil on the delicious details, but let's just say that her victims probably wished she had killed them faster.
The other interesting part of Roberta is that on first appearance, you would think that she is the Calm Psycho-Moe type, but she is actually the opposite. When Roberta is calm, she is being the "Cool Badass" archetype ("She'll be back...") Her Psycho-Moe moments come about in sudden bursts, when she either loses her cool, or starts laughing at her enemies.
Another two from me. Strawberry Panic is one of my unabashed pleasures, and it helps that Tamao is another one of those "Serene Psychos". Smiles on the outside, absolute loco on the inside. I mean seriously, this is a girl who revels in listening to recorded screams of her prey.
Anderson, to me, is one of the best parts of Hellsing. If there was ever a competition for most Psycho-GAR male, Anderson would definitely get my vote.
Arc > Mr Anderson
(But Gin sama >>>>>>>>> wall >>>>>>>> Shinku) ^^
They cancel each other out :3
So...do original pics count?
(post first, remove when told later
There's more where my image folder came form, but restrictions hinder me to have more. Oh well...
I don't mind original images, but a little description (using the caption feature) to give an idea of the context would be helpful.
Three more for the road.
I am very glad to have been introduced to Deadman Wonderland as it is a manga filled with morbid insanity. It is not horror however, as it revels in its own madness and makes being psychotic fun. I must give kudos to the manga-ka, because no matter how many times I look at this particular page, the smile sends a shiver of delight up my spine. He really knows how to make psycho look good.
sola started out as a very promising anime, but the lack of episodes and ever-expanding plot-holes in the finale caused it to lose the status of being an excellent anime. That said, it is STILL a good anime to watch, with high production values, pleasant music and a central cast bursting with moe. Even the male side-character is GAR, and not your usual slapstick punching-bag.
I was first attracted to sola because Matsuri was being voiced by Mamiko Noto in a role that is very different from her usual stereotypical demure characters. In the end though, it was Aono who captured my heart with her tragedy. It helps of course, that she has one heck of a cool power, and was a psycho-bomb waiting to explode (and she did).
"He's my little brother."
Lolz, and I thought the pictures posted already speaks for itself. Plus I'm too lazy to caption anyway XD
Your standard "Love me or die!" yandere girls.
Too bad I can't make working links here, but anyway, here's a little video I wish to share with my fellow comrades.
^ A quirky AMV about Kaede, with a twist at the end.
Another two for the road.
When Higurashi first came out, I was giddy over the prospect of having loads and loads of Psycho-Moe. Rena very quickly charmed me, and this particular fanart of her remains one of my top favourites in my image folders. I have also used it as an in-game avatar several times.
Gift ~eternal rainbow~ is an anime that could have transcended from just being good to epic if it had more episodes, more budget, and more focus. Perhaps a remake in the future? Nevertheless, Kirino was a bundle of joy to watch in the anime, even if it was her dream-incarnation that was the most Psycho-Moeriffic one. Catfights are a lot more fun when the opponent can quite literally shove a rainbow up your ass.
Today's two entries are strictly OOC-based. Both are from Lucky Star, a really happy-go-lucky anime series.
Another OOC entry, this time from Gakuen Manabi Straight. She's really more of being really upset, but her EFD was so cute.
In the next picture, we have a MSLN parody of the infamous bridge scene in School Days. A cult favourite meme if you will.
