Seiyuu Wishlist - Haruhi
Nervalism is invading Haruhism, I guess I'm a Nervalist advocate now and have gotten quite a few people into Sorakake lol
Kagura does appear in earlier episodes and her awesomeness greatly increases mid season.
Anyway @ Cat Magex, I left something in the Sorakake speculation thread, could be of interest to you.
Reminds me of her serious/deturmined Rena voice or her Reimu voice a bit. Of course I've only been able to see up to episode 7.
Side Note: Rie Tanaka's voice is just too sexy when she does over the top evil. Especially when she is amused with herself or laughs.
Spotted it, C.A. XD
Xanthippe is the sexiest character in Sorakake, she is KiNa's waifu.
I thought Haruka Minami was KiNa's waifu?
Have we come to any conclusions on a revised character = seiyuu list?
I see that the Sorakake forum is hardly visited by people, my waifu system didn't spread too wildly as well.
KiNa has a large harem, he's a member of my AS Marriage Registry.
Kazuya Nakai fits very well with Haruki, Danchou says its perfect. I've known him as Zoro from One Piece, but its his voice in Sengoku Basara as Masamune Date that fits Haruki.
It's a bit TOO deep, is the problem.
Haruki is still 15/16, after all. Both Kazuya Nakai and Katsuyuki Konishi are a bit too deep for the character, in my opinion, and yes, I know Kamina was my suggestion originally.
wouldn't be bad.
...But Kyon has a deep voice at times. I mean, he's voiced by Tomokazu Sugita, after all.
That's Sugita though. Only a deep voice can contain his concentrated awesome.
If we are going to go for a deep voice for Haruki... yeah, Kazuya Nakai.
Hiroshi Kamiya as Yuuki?
*drool with pure fanservice*
Rie Kugimiya as Kyonko?
Or am i the only one who thinks Taiga and Kyonko are similar?
...They're nothing alike whatsoever. Like, at all.
Completely different archetypes and personalities.
Yes, they're both tsundere. But they're tsundere in totally different ways.
While i'll agree that Taiga is significantly different than Kyonko, namely being substantially more of both "tsun" and "dere", id have to disagree that its completely different.
For one, if you go with the Kyon/ko and Haruhi/ki interactions, you can interpret it as a case where its similar but just in a different degree of reaction(Example: Taiga constantly threatens Ryuji and attempts to discreetly aid his relationship with Minorin, while Kyon/ko mentally/sometimes openly scolds Haruhi/ki for her actions and yet compliments her on her ponytail after the dream). Although i guess you can also see it as kuudere, where Kyon/ko is seemingly apathetic and annoyed at the SOS events but isn't in reality.
To sum it up, i don't think they're different types of tsundere at all, in my opinion, the only thing that is different is to the severity of which their reactions. Although i do see your point, and after writing this response I'm actually starting to think of Kyon/ko as a kuudere instead.
It's not the same thing at all.
Basically, it boils down to that while Ryuuji doesn't deserve the abuse he gets, Haruki DOES.
Then you withdraw your earlier statement of Kyonko as being a tsundere?
Because from what I'm getting from your statement is that Kyonko is not a tsundere at all, as you claim her actions are socially/emotionally logical and unexaggerated (the exact opposite of the trademark of tsundere), being as the target(Haruki) deserves it.
But i digress, this is simply arguing testimony and not the case itself. Upon further thought, i do cede that my previous comparisons of characters was incorrect, however, with the above argument, i also take on a new stance of Kyon's personality, of it being kuudere rather than tsundere. In which case i'd advocate Yukana for the role, as her act in voicing CC in Geass displays incredible skill in providing the snark comments and cynical/melancholic mood that Kyon so heavily displays(providing that she can deliever the voice in a slightly higher register, maybe around the range that she did for Tear in TotA).
...I don't like Yukana...
Emiri Katou would honestly be better the way the character is written... and who the hell said a tsundere had to be unjustified in their behaviour?
A tsundere means you're a bitch to the person you like. Nothing more or less than that.
"Darudere" would be the best term to describe Kyonko, probably. Ever seen Ouran High School Host Club?
Haha, I have actually. Although I've never heard of that term before.
And not to beat a dead horse but, I never said it wasn't justified in that they commit acts of violence spontaneously without any sort of trigger, what I meant to say was that their reactions to seemingly mundane things were very "exaggerated/over-the-edge", and thus socially and emotional illogical.
Emiri Katou did a good job with Kagami, but due to my being used to Kyon's narration, I guess I'm just used to seeing Kyonko as having a deeper and more mature voice.
I still say Minori Chihara using her Devil Chiaki/Chiaki voice would work. Slightly more mature sounding version of the fairly snarky (and sometimes wordy) Chiaki would work for Kyon-chan...(the use of "Bakayarou" would be a plus)...plus she already knows the songs. And it would amuse me to have her act against whoever does Yuuki.
Emiri Katou works as well, I just like that Minori Chihara is experianced already in this particular set of works.
