Being first doesn't mean all that much to me. Getting back on track would make more sense...if this wasn't the CRACK sector of the movement...which it is.

It was a goal set long ago for us to make it to the top and stay there, as that is what Haruki-sama would want!

(Of course, since it was mainly me saying that, I'm not sure if anyone actually shared that goal )

(This is just to get me a general idea of the entire thing inked. I plan on redrawing the entire thing in better detail and coloring and inking that one to the best of my abilities. ESPECIALLY the bow D: )

There's ... there's Shakugan no Shana genderbender activity? o_o There is Shakugan no Shana genderbender activity. Yikes, the implications ... o_o; What with all the times Yuuji's been kidnapped and manhandled ...

There was also a GB Higurashi pic, yet I don't recall anyone bringing up the possible implications of a girl being held down by a bunch of guys during "punishment games"...

@Aebliss: Ah yes. What would be our second major undertaking if not for certain complications regarding the novels.

@Shirogane: Kaisos and I were contemplating that and have yet to come up with a solution. Help us think of something.

Higurashi GB was pondered, but it just doesn't quite work right since you would basically have one teenaged girl and four-six boys (depending on the arc) ranging from maybe 9 - 17 (age is still being debated) as your mains. Psycho-GAR just doesn't appeal as much as Psycho-moe, despite K1 being the main crazy in several arcs. Also the mentioned punishment games problem and a few other cuteness related problems. (Plus how would K1's "men should be perverts" speech work if he's female?)

Shana-kun is an experiment. I'm not sure if the storyline can handle GB, but presently it is an art style test since the styles between Shana and Haruhi are very similar, if not the same.

@Ithekro: For the novels, they are the same. Noizi Ito did the art for both series.

@Ithekro: As for a GB K1 speech ... Maybe "In this modern day and age, women shouldn't have to pretend to be frail lilies! Embrace the desires that well up from within! Be as free as any man thinks he has a right to be -- no, moreso!"

As for punishment games ... Aye, tricky. It'd work best if only K1 was subjected to GB, but if you go for a full cast ... You know, I tried to think of a GB version of some of the things that were done to K1 by the girls, and my brain tried to shut down. >_< Nevermind.

GB Shana ... Hm. I dunno. While the theme of kickass girls saving the day is a nice break with old traditions in and of itself, in anime it's becoming a bit standard. Then again, having some superboy arrive and carry off Yujiko all the time, saving her, that feels somewhat overdone. Though watching Yujiko evolve into a fighting machine as well might be amusing.

As for the punishment games... well, that was the milder of the two problems I thought of concerning gender... think "torture room"...

Yes, the torture room scene would involve rape.

And Bliss, that idea is awesome.

@Kaisos Erranon: I'd advise strongly against rape. For one thing, Shion was so out of her mind when she tortured Satouko that I doubt any sexual feelings were still available. Also, the total butchering of a little child is bad enough without adding in sexual abuse, unless you want to scare away the current fanbase completely and draw in a bad new crowd.

I always cringe when I think back on the way Satouko was treated, regardless later revelations about what she did in the throes of the disease and her other misfortune.

@Aebliss: We were talking about the scene afterward with Shion and K1.

*e* Given the current conversation, I suppose I can safely mention the fact that the Sonozaki... brothers kinda remind me of Ryou in the picture that's up(or at least one of them does...)

Which means that Mion-kun's going to be yelling his tonsils out with curses from behind bars?

And yes the similarity of character design has been noted.
