World of Tanks!
Hi, so you guys playing WoT too?!
Well, Im a regular player from some time ago, fairly proficient in several trees, and looking for a spanish or english clan.
GL & HF
So I've got some German and Chinese projects due tomorrow as well as a Chinese standardized test I have to take in less than 7 hours. So, did I do the right thing and finish my homework so that I won't be dead tired tomorrow? NO! I played WoT! I can do my homework at school! Anyway, here are the more notable matches:
- PzB2 premium tank. This thing is admittedly a bit OP with its heavy armor and high ROF, but I got Top Gun.
- PzII: A nice little fighting vehicle. I've gotten 8 kills with it before (tied with the pzIv for my highest yet) and tried to best it, alas, I
- E50: A horrifically annoying round in which I survive all fifteen minuets of the game, there is one enemy arty left at 14%, then I fuck up and
the target, which kills me just as the time runs out. 500xp draw, with 2x would've been 2000. But it's okay since I made up for them with a couple of good victories. It's really hard to get over 2 kills with this tank though.
EDIT: A bit of advice, though I'm still a bit unsure as to its truth: If you hold down C while a new shell is being loaded, it will load faster. I heard this during a company battle and have tried it with various tanks and it seems to work, but I haven't tried it under calm conditions yet so I can't be sure.
So right now I don a camo-net on my PzIV, alongside a rammer and vent. I perform best when I snipe from afar in a support role while other heavies brawl it out. I found out aiming the wheels tend to cause critical damage to tanks above my tier, and I enjoy that!
I am thinking of equipping a binocular to increase my view range, but at a 500k pricetag, I am not too sure if it is worth it. But, eventually when I get a Tiger, I think I will be throwing a bino on it.
That being said, had fun with Leo last night and Kimi this morning. Lets keep it coming and figure out how to live...
I even skipped playing Black Ops 2... imagine that.
Lets keep it coming and figure out how to live... longer.
Amen to that! Good tip about the wheels. I was aiming for the engine deck whenever I could, but not always successful.
Had a game with Kimi right after noon. Have to say, the IV is a very capable urban brawler, and by brawler I don't mean using the 10.5cm. Although I might arm it next time I head out there.
The map was base assault with a lot of railways (I still cannot remember map names) and a lot of natural barricades. These shielded my IV from having to engage pitched fights against heavies. Given the size of heavies, it was pretty easy to sneak up behind them and give them a good pounding. I took out a KV-1 by sneaking behind it and a Churchill by
Didn't win the match, but we both survived, which is good enough.
Was it an urban map? It might be Ensk. Though there is no "assault" version of that map, only "encounter"...
Whats the match type where both sides are trying to capture one base?
Then Ensk it was. I like that map with TDs and heavy tanks, for scouts it's quite dangerous.
I now have a new appreciation for the 10.5cm on my Panzer IV. Apparently, this gun works well from short ~ mid range, and can be a pretty good
if used right
I tested out in a urban map (one that you get a lot as a Tier 2), and actually managed to score 5 kills with it. This gun works very well when I have plenty of cover. I played 3 consecutive rounds and always engaged the bigger cats from behind rubble. Works quite well, managed to score just one kill short of half-dozen.
But now I am wondering if I should go down the Panther line. I am a big fan of the original Panther. Furthermore, it would appear the tanks in that line gives a lot of speed a firepower, a combination I appreciate most.
Though at the moment I am concentrating on the Tiger line...
Hmm, what to do...
The Panther is far better IMO. Higher accuracy, ROF, and mobility in exchange for slightly worse armor. I've gotten 7 kills in my Panther before but only 3 in my Tiger.
how about using this Oorai school emblem as our emblem?
I do have an emblem in mind... but I am going to have to take some time to finalize it.
The reason being... a lot of people are using Oorai already. We should come up with something original, that is, if we are going to form a clan at all at this moment.
Since you guys probably won't be able to do clan wars, making sure someone in the clan always has premium account so we can run tank companies is probably a good idea.
I still have 180 prem days left
Been busy lately with the job but coming back next weekend
Yeah man, I did not see you online at all!!
Had a lot of fun with Wil & Sume on the weekends
So right now I am driving the VK 3601 (H)... can't wait to get rid of this PoS. To sum it up, the tank has the speed of a heavy, armor of a medium (the only thing it done right) and a gun of a light. It cannot turn worth a dime, and crawls like a turtle. It has a speed of 7km/h going uphill and turns slower than my grandmother's wheelchair.
If it has any merit, well, it
a decent sniper and a brawler. As long as I don't engage heavies with this vehicle. Otherwise, its too big to hide, too ugly to be intimidating and certainly too slow to run.
This tank just makes me appreciate my IV more and more. Hell, we actually had a game with it, and I did a phenomenal job.
*Sigh*... 20k more xp until the Tiger.
