General Rules:
Only your own work!
The picture must be taken by you and the processing of it must be done by yourself as well. Joint entries are allowed but in this case all the participants must be credited. If you get caught posting stolen works, the entries will be rejected and you'll be excluded from the current event. This means that you won't be allowed to re-enter to the competition with a different entry.
Only photographic elements!
While composing your final entry out of several photos is allowed. All the elements in your entry must be photographic. You can combine several of your own photos into a single image and process it as you wish but no artificial elements are allowed. So no rendered elements, brushes, vectors, drawn elements. etc.
Technical regulations:
Submit your entry as a JPEG image. Maximum dimensions are 1600x1600px. Filesize is unlimited.
Theme:
Serene
A broad and ambiguous theme but I think it's better to start off with something that's a bit more general. So the picture has to have a peaceful, calm an serene quality to it.
Entry Period:
June 27th to August 16th. (12pm UTC)
You can submit as many entries to this thread as you wish, however you can enter just one as your final entry for the contest. You can submit your final entry by posting in this thread or as private or profile message to me (escimo). When posting it to thread make sure to clearly mark it as Final Entry. If you submit your entry as a profile message, mark the link to your entry as "Picture It - Final Entry" and as a private message use it as a subject.
Voting - First Phase:
August 16h to August 23rd. (12pm UTC)
The first voting phase will be run in group. If more than 3 entries are posted the first phase will determine the final three which will be put up to public vote in the Fan Creations section of the forums. In this stage the group members will each nominate up to three entries for the final phase. If the number final entries is 5 or less, this phase will be skipped and all the entries will be put up for voting in the final phase. The first voting phase will run for a week.
Voting - Public Phase:
August 23rd to August 30th.
The top three entries will be posted as a public poll in the Fan Creations section. This phase is open for all registered members of the forums. This stage of the voting is also a week long.
