I just picked it up today, about two hours ago.
I've been playing through the story and arcade.
It is a solid game, great graphics, tons of bells and whistles, enjoyable music, and an interesting cast of characters. (Ragna is awesome)
Special moves are fun to pull off and look impressive.
Almost every detail is customizable, down to the text box border in story mode.
The special edition packaging is nice, and the three bonus disc are a nice touch. The great music makes me glad I have the soundtrack now, very diverse sounds from poppy to speed metal to visual kei sounding music. It all really fits well.
Was able to play it at my friends today. As you said great music, characters and presentation. Although all the characters are great and have their own charm, my favorites are currently Noel, Rachel, and Ragna. I can't wait to actually get my copy, but unfortunately it looks as if I won't be able to play online anytime soon as I need a new wireless router to get my PS3 online.
I heard that the online is a bit shabby. Anyone got any words about it?
I just been playing training mode. I haven't tried online until I feel comfortable with Ragna and Noel. I'll try story mode later.
Well, looks like there's already a patch to fix the online, so, i think that's not a big problem now.
Online works well so far. All my matches have been good.
I can't believe someone already disconnected after a loss.
A BlazBlue Group? Count me in!! Jin FTW!!
can we change the Group pic to somethin less Noel? like the cover of the Game or somethin, seems like this is a Noel group
Online is perfectly fine connection wise. so far the only lag I've gotten is when the wheel of fate starts to turn, but it clears up and stays lag free once the actualmatch starts. My only REAL complaint online is that I see too many Jin's and Noel's who don't know what they're doing for my liking.
Story mode is okay, it takes way too long to get 100% though; however, it does make up for it for some intersting and funny story paths.
I tried to put the cover in 200 x 200, but it always ended ugly as hell, hehe. Besides, Noel attracts people, hehe. HANDS OFF THE PANDA.
Not true, Noel doesn't necessary acttract people. She shoots them/grapples them.
Litchi acctracts people (like Bang) for less-then-noble reasons. Rachel is there for vamp!loli fans.
....Mu is just clingy. Too clingy.
What acctracts people is awesome power, a heavy offense and defense, along with an underlining belief in karma and dharma. Whose sword pierces the heavens and/or Arakune. Yes, I mean Haku-men.
Thats my impressions on the characters. Although maybe a character impression is needed, too?
Video game impression
It was sort of jumbled up at first, I couldn't quite understand what was going on until I did Haku-men and True ending. Haku-men story and true story was kind of haphazard because I was left with an expression of 'No way, Haku-men is... -censored due to spoiler-"
The different choices and paths are unique and show a point of choice and consequence. Such as Jin's story. Losing is good, too. Opens up more things. Which is necessary for 100%
100% for me is Haku-men, Jin, and Arakune. Along with the true ending which is basically handed to you.
It is alot different then GG, which i'm happy for. It shows sadness and comedy. I've been trying to get 100% Mu, but i'm starting to think that is impossible
