福山雅治 ~Fukuyama Masaharu~
I think this group already has a lot of discussions but we need one for his dramas! There aren't that many of them but they're all great
His three biggest ones were:
Bijou ka Yajuu
I'm about to watch this one. I think it's about a failing news program crew which Masha is a part of; then a girl enters the picture and drama ensues.... Apparently Masha's super-cute in this show
About a genius physics professor who helps a rookie detective solve cimes! of course the prof is Masha^^ It's one of his coolest looks ever. It's impossible not to love his character in this. The movie Suspect X (Yougisha X no Kenshin) is the follow-up to it.
An NHK Taiga Drama (historical period stuff, really) about the very famous Sakamoto Ryoma, whom Masha plays. His Ryoma takes some getting used to (long hair, occasional dorkiness, dirt, frequent emotional scenes, etc) but this is a great show. Masha's acting is excellent. And Ryoma has a lot of bath scenes. *runs and hides*
So yeah, these are the three shows I recommend to all you new Fukuyama fans
The third one seems interesting. I'm pretty interested in history(just not euro cause there's 10243820934 different states), but I shall check that out when I get the chance. Do any of his works include medieval times/fighting and stuff?
^Ryomaden has some action (not much, it's more dramatic stuff) but it's definitely medieval times. Here's a preview of the second season (which came out a while ago)
I HAVE FINISHED BIJO KA YAJUU! Fab drama with adorable Masha and good amounts of comedy. Loved it.
I'm only watching Ryoma Den and I'm loving it ..he is great actor
sad to know it will end soon >__<
Agreed. Ryomaden's ending is going to be the most emotional thing ever for me, I'm just reading interviews on it and I'm already getting misty-eyed
: Apparently the final scene is of Yataro screaming and crying from losing Ryoma. Okay, I'm going off to my corner to sniffle a little now.
I haven't read or heard anything about the ending ...I'm waiting to see it when the sub is finish although its will take while
I'm just getting bits and pieces from NHK's blog and official Ryomaden site. But we all know that Ryoma gets assassinated at age 33 so it's not all that surprising but it sure is sad as hell
Subs for Ryomaden seem to be taking a loooooong time....
