Discuss anything about the classic Metal Gear games. Remember to mark any spoilers, though we can probably handle to minor ones~
Thanks for inviting me. Been a Metal Gear Solid fan ever since the PS2.
Confession here, Meta Ger on the old nes system when I was young I had a VERY hard time playing that game. Thanks to PSone and PS2 and PS3 versions Metal Gear became an epic game and made me finished the game on the special Metagear Solid Snake Eater.
I STILL have a hard time playing Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2. I had only played the crappy American version of Metal Gear first, but thanks to MGS3 Subsistance, I got to play the better version~
Though, I have to say that it was Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes that got me into the series.
Well, like most of the people, i got into the series in the Solid 1. When i bought the PS1, it came with a demo of a couple of games, including MGS, then, it all begun... I played all the others after this, except for Portable Ops... And i tried, but the controls are just too bad.
The first Metal Gears aren't easy and that's for sure(well, the first one is kind of easy... But the second is hard for them both) and they are good games(specially Metal Gear 2, which is awesome), so everyone should give it a try. I never played the nes versions and i think i'm lucky for that.
And it's not a classic game, but i have to say that Metal Gear ghost babel for GBC(Solid in the us) is DAMN GOOD. It's one of my favorite MGS games. I highly recommend this one.
Thanks for the invite!
Kojima's Peace Walker plan sounds pretty awesome, not to mention the series itself is simply amazing..
Hey guys thanks for the invitation!
Y'know, my first encounter with the MG saga was when I happened to find a copy of MGS2 lying around in a "3 games for 5 bucks" box. I'd heard of this game but never knew what it was about. As soon as I started playing I was hooked; the gameplay, the story and the characters, everything clicked with me.
By now I've played trough MGS1, 2 and 4 and I've started with 3. I'm also eagerly anticipating Peacewalker. I'm not so sure about Rising though seeing as there's no gameplay trailer out yet...
Hello fellow Metal Gear fans! I only played MGS2 for the Xbox and Twin Snakes for the Gamecube, but I love what I have played.
I first started when they released that essential collection pack, I played MGS3 and was hella confused, but after a while after you learn how to do a few things,so far i've beaten almost every MGS,cept for portable ops,and I haven't played any of the MG originals
They're all good games, but I still like Snake Eater the best. I mean, who doesn't get hungry and suddenly get the urge to eat the first thing you see? In all honesty, it also had the most practical of any of the Metal Gears.
