Well I am recovering from the Great North Run which takes place every year in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne in the UK. Participants run a half marathon. Its hard cheering from home
but you have to admire the dedication of people who go into it year after year where all money raised during it goes to charity. Two of my co-workers took part this year and so I was watching for them. One of them managed to raise nearly £1000 in donations to take part for the British Heart Foundation.
Although it is open for foreginer participants, I don't know if anyone of you have heard about a convention called TG (The Gathering)? It's basically a convention for everything computer and games and so on. It's been arranged since '92; the year I was born. TG11 was my first time, I went together with my boyfriend. It was so much fun, really exciting, even for a person like me who doesn't understand shit when it comes to computers and the like. The domestic newspapers have been writing about it as well, it's pretty big, with over 5000+ people and sold-out tickets each year. I'm going back next year, hopefully!
Other than that... not really much to say about the current news in Norway. I could always mention DLD, but it's such a long story, I don't think any other country has found it worthy even writing about, so I'm not going into that. Unless someone is curious, of course. :-P
The TG gets honourable mentions in some UK gaming magazines probably because of it been next door to us. Ah come on you can not use an acronym and not explain, thats like a don't press sign over a large red button
I guess in English the correct acronym is DRD:
