The Goddess of the Right
My new theory is the Org uses the eyes to make Claymores.
Think about it:
- there must be enough material to make 2 claymores from the same source (Luciella/Raphaela and Alicia/Beth each share the same youma).
- Clare believes it comes from the head (otherwise she'd carry something else to Rubel)
- one of the things that change in someone becoming a claymore is the color of their eyes. This suggests it's the eyes rather than the ears or something (then again... maybe that's where the pointy ears come in...).
- sensing and "sight" are the extra-sensory powers Claymores have that enable to detect youma.
- an eyeball (possibly working) staring out of someone's chest could cause a reaction like that of the bandits (at least from a group other than us)
So my guess is that it's a bit of Teresa's face including at least one eye from the nose, to possibly the ear, and possibly top of the head (at least until we find out or a better theory comes along).
not sure i agree with this. it's just not that supported with any actual evidence stating so.
as far as we know, it just takes yoma flesh (a part/piece of a normal yoma or claymore or awakened one), though the head-brain is possibly what's needed, just based on actual biology, and a few weak references:
1. when a normal yoma eats a human's brain, it gets their memories, mannerisms, behaviors, and knowledge.
2. usually when awakening occurs, the human mind is taken over by the yoma mind, and the claymore becomes an awakened one/abyssal one/destroyer.
3. the entire human body is changed into a yoma's (aka claymore's) body. it's only the eyes and the stigmata (and the rare pointed ears-irene) that are visable on the surface of their body naturally.
(as a claymore releases more yoki, than more of the yoma body manifests itself on the outside surface of the claymore's body, like eyes turning golden at 10% yoki release, face contorting at 30% yoki release, body contorting at 50% yoki release, and actual awakening occuring at 80% yoki)
You're stating a lot of obvious well known facts without actually saying why you disagree.
Of course there is no concrete evidence - if there was, I wouldn't need to theorize about it. Still, this thoery does into account most of the circumstantial evidence available to us, and does a great deal of deduction from there.
Also, I'd like to point, the form of youma a claymore changes into is not determined by the youma (hence, if you're implying the youma brain in necessary, then I would disagree with you). The form of an AB is chosen by the Claymore. Clare needs more speed in Pieta, she gets gazelle legs. She needs more attack power, she gets blades. Clare is thus uniquely qualified to be taken seriously when she looks at Raciella and says "so that is the form you
If it's, as you claim, the brain that is necessary, explain Raphaela and Luciella then (even if I concede that Alicia and Beth are half-wits for the moment). You need to be able to make at least 2 claymores out of a single youma source. There is only one brain.
i as well don't really know... lol.. we are both theorizing...
as for the brain... i'm jsut saying that the brain MAY be needed in order to address some of those things, otherwise any part/piece of flesh probably will do.
i actually do see the yoma as like a virus/parasite that infects and mutates the host's body.
and i agree about the yoma body. what makes the yoma body so special is that it has no limits (unlike the human body of course). the only thing that limits the yoma body is the mind and yoki/yoma power. the yoma body can pretty much do anything. it's kinda like a "genie" in a sense (not the best analogy but can't think of any at the moment...ah... stem cell, better analogy, lol, jsut thought of it).
i have to disagree with what you said because of those well known/already known facts. though your idea, is certainly not disproved either, as the facts are kinda weak/flimsy, and don't really help support my disagreement much either.
*I do really like your idea about the eyes. makes a lot of sense/explains stuff
Wow, the pic with the seven ghosts the dark raining sky and the lightnings is frightning. As if the wrath of the gods came down on agatha. I think i will use this for my desktop background
About your theorie, cyclone.
If i read it the first time it sounded stupid BUT then i gave logic a chance and now i think it is not that bad at all.
About the brain: there are two hemispheres, right?
two hemispheres (left and right). right is the more creative (or art) side. left is more the practical (or math) side (this is why whenever you are thinking about something or trying to recall information, you look to the upper left with your eyes). (i think)
4 areas (lobes) of the brain. (i think)
vision is run by the back of the brain (which there's a tunnel from your pupil on your eyeball to the back of the brain. the two tunnels criss cross or "X", so that the left eye tunnel goes to the right side of the back of your brain and the right eye tunnel goes to the left side of the back of your brain).
there's FAR LESS connections ("bridges") across the left and right sides of the brain, which is what makes males have a harder time with multi-tasking but also allows males to extremely focus on one thing and thus do it really really well. (a boy usually can catch a ball with ease)
there's FAR MORE connections ("bridges") across the left and right sides of the brain, which is what makes females have an easier time with multi-tasking but also prevents females from being able to extremely focus on one thing and thus do it really really well. (usually a girl has a very hard time catching a ball)
Wow, you are good informed
I actually have to analyze brain data for my diploma thesis myself but my sin is that i forget everything i program and learn after perhaps a few weaks.
I get good grades but after that i forget everything
yep, that's usually the case. you learn to "ace" (do well on, 90%-100%) the tests, which is different from actually learning the material. unfortunately, we are so pressured into testing and doing well, we just study to get a good grade on them, rather than actually learning-memorizing-understanding the material so that we retain it long after the test....
The strange thing is i wasn't good at school but at university my grades are at least i can say not bad, if i could only remember all the shit better
By the way, thx to staferd i have a new desktop background by now
The Orgs never ending battle to create a more powerful claymore is what it is. Clare of course being one of them and is also in the thick of it all.
I have found something nice in the illiad which IMO describes to conflict between priscilla and clare very good:
'Looking darkly upon Hector, swift-footed Achilles answered: 'I cannot forgive you. As there are no trustworthy oaths between men and lions, there can be no love between you and me. One or the other must fall before then, to glut with his blood Ares, the god who fights under the shield's guard. Remember every valor of yours, for now the need comes hardest upon you to be a spearman and a bold warrior. There shall be no more escape for you. You will pay in a lump for all those sorrows of my companions you killed in your spear's fury.'
I have heard it the first time in the space above and beyond episode the angriest angel. IMO the best episode i have ever seen from a sci fi series.
I hope she gets out soon.
