Ever had a series that made you cry? I cannot believe it, but this one did:

The Dusk Maiden of Amnesia

I just finished it last week. It had an interesting premise and although I thought was supposedly a lighthearted affair (and certainly started as such) soon turned into something rather serious.

At the end, I shed manly tears man.

You guys should check it out.

Hell, I cried watching Fist of The North Star...

I dunno how many times I cried in the anime adaption of Daddy Long Legs.
It also had one of the best anime kiss scenes, imho (though I wish to hell that Judy was rid of those annoying braided pigtails).

Best anime kiss ever was in Toradora, IMHO.

I was sobbing at the end of that.

I just finished Fate Zero, wow that was depressing. Though to be honest it doesn't take much to make me cry.

Have you seen Fate Stay Night? Then?

Yeah, so I knew it wasn't going to end well going in. I just wish there were more moments with Irisviel, Kiritsugu, and Illya, they're such a cute family.

Clannad and Clannad After Story are the 2 biggest incidents I remember where I cried watching it.

Grave of the Fireflies definitely takes the prize for saddest show I've even seen...

Though now that you mention it, Clannad After Story did it for me too.
I have also seen one show that made me cry virtually every episode...but it was not an anime.

Threads where manly tears were shed and shared? why not, Clannad after story was one major breakdown for me, oh god the tears just wont stop, i always have a thing with family related issue

Very very heartwarming and will indeed make you cry a bucket.

I've got a confession to make...

I really haven't seen Grave of the Fireflies completely. I just happened to find it being aired on a cheap Japanese cultural network when I was in the Philippines many years ago, hence I've only seen it from the middle of the movie up to the end.

And even then, I just can't bring myself to watch it again from the beginning knowing how it ends. It's a beautiful animated film, but it also made me feel horrible afterwards, so it's not something I can simply watch on a whim.

As for Tasogare Otome, I love the show from story to art direction, but while it has its heavy and dramatic parts, it's also has enough light-heartedness and comedy to balance the more serious moments in the story. Yuko is quite the tragic heroine, but she's also quite the playful one.

I just wish the epilogue was a bit longer, as I didn't appreciate the credits getting in the way of the scene.
