Have a drawing you been working on? You feel something's missing but you can figurate out what? Looking for some real and professional comenst, critiques and advices to finish and improve your finished drawings or drawings in progress?

This is the place. The main intention on this thread is to allow people to post rough sketches, unfinished drawings (WIP) or drawings they fell can be improved so other members can give advices, tips and sugestions to finish the work or improve the alredy finished work.

How does this works? A member posts a rough sketche, unfinished drawing or drawing that he wants to improve and asks for opinions and sugestions on how to finish or improve the work, others members come and give their C&C, (Coments and critiques) on the drawing and how do they feel it can be finished or improved.

Have in mind 2 things:

1) There is a phrase who says "The truth will make you big, but first it'll make you miserable", if you're posting your work here, you must be prepared to take a few hard words, other people must be honest in order to give you a good advice so don't take it personal.

2) The previous doesn't means people can be un-pollite or too harsh, it's not the same to say "It looks terrible but I think you can fix it if you do this" than "It's just a piece of crap", if you're going to give and advice, tip or a critique, do it correctly, be clear and don't confuse the artist.

Pretty much what Vamp described, I've heard of it before. It's sort of a method of constructive criticism: you start with something good, then give your critique, but also end with something good, so that the critique doesn't come off as too negative and the reviewer has to acknowledge what the artist did well as well as what could use improvement.

Teheh, well, I had meet people who talks as if they know to much about a theme when actually they know nothing and just confuse other people. Maybe I sounded a bit rude so maybe I shoulc change that >_>

I know about
1) the hand's line thickness are very irregular .. and
2) the hair. Just... orz!!!!

^Hmm, well the main 2 you've already pointed out...

I think her left bra(our right) is drawn in the wrong angle. Even if u look at it by itself it doesnt look convincing enough. It also doesnt work together well with the right side bra to make the overall angle look convincing.

I dont think the hair is that bad actually, you just need to align those center lines a bit and it'll be perfect

Other than those 3 areas. The rest looks pretty good. The anatomy looks like u went for a more realistic type of anatomy as opposed to the moe type. Suits the face type aswell. The hair style you might want to change to a style that incorporates more hair strands tho, in my opinion those suit this type of head/body more. But the one u have now is pretty good too

well at least you can get a interesting looking hair style. i sit there for about 45 min andend up just doing something i've already done or is easy to do.

anywho . . . I like it. got that "im gonna take a pictuure of u with my hands!!" stance which is always good if you can pull it off, which u have done splendidly, the lines all smooth and nice . . . honestly all i can say is color it nicely plz!! other than that it quite splendid.

Weee.. thanks all.. the hair was actually drawn sidesplit (dunno what english words are) .. because thats the easiest hair to look at from my desk However, when I checked Kairin's thread.. her's actually split in the middle.. so I had to redraw it... and of course screw it :/

I used SAI tool. The vector layer(aka no tablet layer) have tool that allow you manipulate the lines you've made by applying pressure at control points .. Sort of like pentool in PS, but much more powerful. You can modify the weight and pressure on each lines individually.

@ nozomi.. thats a tall request lol. I have no problem much with drawing/linearting.. becuse I'm familiar with it. Drawing with mouse is hard, but SAI made it possible to transfer my stroke onto the screen.. but coloring is something I never really done in real life.. so my abilities are very very limited.

^I dont think nozomi was being that serious about it. But its a good point he raised. Not saying you should definately start colouring or anything. But like, should start one point.

Back in college I use to HATE colouring. I just wanted to pencil everything. Until I realised it was the next step.

On yoyr feet soldiers, colouring maybe hard and a bit frustrating, but in the end, you'll see that all the effort and work on it is worthy of the time because if it looks good white, it'll look even better on color.

@KiNA: The concept on the picture is in my opinion, a very good one, close ups may be either very easy or very hard depending on your visualitation and on the idea on the pic, you did it in a very exellent way.

Hmmm... be a bit carefull with the lines, I can see some lines going into areas that they're not supossed to be (example, a line from the hair that's going into the left hand thumb), not a big problem tough. Also, ther's something about the middle area of the hair... the part that it's at the same level of the left hand, the middle line of that hair part, isn't it too much at the left side?

Overall I give you a 10 out of 10, the face looks great, as well as the underwear, hear this, the hair always take form when adding color

I agree with satsumaru lol, I was the same 2 years back.
You could start shading things with black grey white, usually makes coloring easier when u know the deph of shadows and so on.

Anyway I like the outline, it's great O.o I especially like the fingers and the face.
You already mentioned the hair thingy so I wont go on with that.

I'm gonna take my conservation into the CGing thread as it severs better there.
