And this is the humble beginning of this social group. I'm surprised one hasn't been made already.
Oh Shirley. You were Lelouche's first date. His first kiss. first girlfriend, His first love (that he wasn't related to I think), first person he turns to for advise (maybe), first thing he thinks about when he dies. Shirley will always be first in Lelouch's heart. Rest in Peace you two dead love birds.
skyless linked me this article about the two of them:
I found it to be a great read.
Why do ppl argue who Lulu wanted to be lovers with?
From the DVD Magazine special..
Shirley: (a little lacking in humility) Yes, that's right. I've never seen anyone's daughter turn out so strong and fine! I can totally understand why Lelouch would say something like, "If there's a next life for the both of us, let us be lovers.".
[*note: This is the first official? confirmation of what Lelouch was trying to say there, AFAIK]
Not everyone is accepting of other pairings as others. Many people want to see their preferred pairing on top, be it ShirLulu, Kalulu, or CluClu. And as such, when these people debate the canon of the pairings, they will usually refer to back down, and it causes full-blown fights, as Sports has seen the last couple of days.
omg, this might be a great place to exchange Shirley/ShirLulu pictures. I already see some I didn't have; I'll add more.
TBH the AS system is not good at all to exchange pictures. It resizes them with a
really bad quality
. It would be better to post the link to the original pictures in the messages.
hm, I did notice that as I was posting them (although some of my pics were small enough). If anyone is curious, then, for a source, just ask. I found most of mine on image aggregators like danbooru (unfortunately, littered with non-worksafe pics as well), and a few from the LuluShirley comm at deviantart. I expect there are a
of pics from Japanese fanartists, however (like possibly the bases for the covers of this
, for example), which I would just die to have.
So, everyone, tell me: What was it that initially made you interested in this pairing, anyway? For me, it was when Shirley got upset over the idea of Lelouch seeing Kallen, and her subsequent explanation to Suzaku that got me interest; I hadn't seen any potential romantic implications until then.
The way Shirley got flustered by Lelouch's 'improperness' was cute from the beginning, and that scene you mentioned showed that there was something more. Lelouch also made it clear that he valued her: he went to her first for news on Shinjuku, he listed her as one of the things he didn't want taken away from him in Stage 3, and he took seriously their planned rendezvous at the opera. Actually, that episode was probably what cinched it for me; to be honest, I was quite surprised he even agreed to go at all. At the time, I felt certain he was biting off more than he could chew.
I'll put it this way. That episode, the way Lelouch acted towards Shirley didn't seem like 'kindness', but
. Even though Lelouch
he didn't have time for fooling around, he still decided to go on a date with Shirley. Even though Lelouch
he was responsible for Shirley's pain, he kissed her. These were not actions without meaning: Lelouch may not have known whether he could follow through on them, but in committing them, he gave a firm
Even though Shirley took advantage of Lelouch with that kiss, in kissing back,
Lelouch took advantage of her
. Mao put it quite bluntly later on: "The same mouth that gave the order which killed your father, was the mouth that stole your first kiss." Lelouch
to have known that. Even then, Lelouch and Shirley shared the same sin. For me, then, that furtive consumnation of mutual manipulation in the rain, was an
: an obligation to make each other happy; an obligation not to let their actions destroy all they shared.
So, everyone, tell me: What was it that initially made you interested in this pairing, anyway?
Despite my personal préference (cluclu), I thought that perhaps the more "logical" choice for Lelouch would have been shirley. In my opinion, she would have been able to give him happiness. And also, she had the type of character that Lelouch likes (more close to euphemia and nunnaly than c.c. or kallen).
I am also a fan of shirley because she is so pretty and classy XD
I say...WEWT! xD
Love em 'til to this day.
(They can finally see each other...lawl xD)
So there is a group that support Rurushirley! This is my absolute favourite couple.
If it wasn't for the circumstance, they will have make a great pair. Both Lelouch and Shirley will be able to support each other and give each other happiness. Despite knowing, what will happen to Shirley, I was quite happy to see them as "official couple" in Turn 12 although it was very short. May they be happy in wherever they are. Lelouch could actually blush ><
Would anyone here actually believe that I also ship this pairing? Hey I truly did....
Best LelouShir fansite, IMO.
Thanks. Where do I have to click on this page
Is there any drawings in it?
I feel dumb each time that I don't find my way on a japanese website
The chibis on the front page are so cute XD
Said cute chibis just got added, too.
Narona-san, click on the 画廊
Now that I've seen those images... oh my god. They need uploading. I shall work on that right now.
Got'em uploaded. Enjoy.
