Pokemon League Lobby Thread
Between matches the trainers of the Pokemon League must be somewhere right? Well this is that place.
A resort like hotel building, this structure stands directly between both arenas and is larger than both. The basic design is a large circle with the very center being a pool area with the next layer out being the hotel section. The Most outer layers consist of different training or extercise rooms, a major dinning room, an auditorium and importantly, a major viewing room in the front with large screens projecting the current matches.
Also as a more side note, there are different security rooms and cameras throughout. Not exactly relevant, but important to note incase of any foul play.
As more embelishment there are of course expensive decorations, fancy hotel like carpeting and tile floors with expensive lighting. Basically first class all the way.
If there is some other kind of misc. important room you find you
just lemmie know through PM and I'll most likely okay it.
Inside one of the training rooms, Koops crouches next to Mackinac, his torterra. Koops is holding a small device, with a digital screen on one end, which etends in a long, spongy rod. Koops holds the squishy end out to Mac.
"Alright Mac, Crunch!" The torterra opens his jaws obiediently and bites down on the rod. Numbers appear on the gadjets screen, emitting little beeps as it does so. Koops looks at the screen and frowns.
"Hmmm...4,500 pounds per square inch...better, but I think we can do just a little better, eh Mac?"
The torterra grunts happily, nudging his trainer affectionatly.
Grey is walking down the hall near the training room Koops occupies. Clearly lost, he is half looking down the hall and half looking at a map. An excited looking crawdaunt follows behind him, peeking and peering into every window most likely looking for the pool. "Augh! These darn big confusing buildings! I wish they hadn't taken our stuff up to the room already or I'd just unpack it all and camp here! Darn well bet I could too, don'tcha think Lob?" But there is no response from the crawdaunt who now has his gaze glued to a large window. "Lob? what are you..." Grey trails off while matching the gaze of Lobmonster. The window they're staring through looks in on the training room Koops is in, the massive torterra following Koops' orders.
While gaping in awe, one of Grey's pokeballs (A duskball specifically) bursts open and releases a Sableye out in a shroud of smoke and shadow. The Sableye quickly claws up the wall and peers through the window in an inconspicuous, spying sort of way. Grey sighs, "No we are not going to SPY on them, we're going to go inside and meet our opponent. Maybe he's friendly?" (In the training room Mac is Crunching down as hard as possible on the device.) "Yeah, friendly! Come on guys." Grey says going to the door, Lobmonster bouncing with excitement. Dark Prince follows behind with a bored look of "you're no fun." and "I hate you even more now."
Walking into the brightly lit training room Grey begins to greet Koops, "Hi! Are you another one of the tournament entries? My name is Grey." He says brightly
Feeding Mac a pokeblock for good work, Koops rises and grins
"Finally! Another entry. I was wondering when more people would show up!" Koops walks over and sticks out his hand.
"Nice ta meetcha Grey! My names Koops-" Koops stumbles as Mack nudges his leg. Rolling his eyes, Koops hands the torterra another pokeblock.
"-and the walking stomach here is Mac."
Shaking Koops' hand, "Yeah, I was worried we were going to be early, but it seems you've beaten us to it." Grey says with a chuckle. The crawdaunt skitters over to Mac and does a greeting style claw raise. "My friend there is Lobmonster and this... oh no...where is he?" Grey starts frantically looking around.
Just then the lights begin to dim with Night Shade and (
) begins to play. Using shadow sneak on his own will, just as he did Night Shade, Sableye in the form of a moving shadow creeps down the wall from the ceiling and emerges from the ground. He poses as if he expects applause or kneeling or something. Grey just gives him an annoyed look, then turns to Koops, "And this is Dark Prince..." turning back to Prince, "I do not want to know how you got that to play, or what bill for the damaged speakers I'll be sent. Just know it is coming out of your food budget."
The Sableye bares his teeth in a way that says "Like I need your food, I dine on the souls of the living."
Koops grins. "Quite a little ham you've got there. But yeah, we got here early. The list says that eight people made it into this tournament. Huh...I wonder when they'll get here."
The door opens and Crosis walks in stretching, behind him walks Ace, his Arcanine. With a slight yawn he opens his eyes and then jumps in suprise. "What are you two doing in our training room? Me and Ace have been here for the past few days." He chuckles, "I guess it really doesn't matter, we will head somewhere else."
He turns to leave but then stops. "Oh! I forgot to introduce myself, my name is Crosis, and this little pup is Ace." Ace begins to wag her tail with excitement, but manages to keep herself from bounding over to the other pokemon.

"What in the..." Gordon mutters to himself as he and his Heracross, Angela, stand outside of the Lobby's Training Room, utterly confused at Dark Prince's display, not seeing what caused it. Angela slowly sinks behind Gordon as he opens the door, peering around to find the source of the strange sounds.
Spying Koops and the others in the room, he asks, "Hey, is there something wrong with the electricity in here? I heard music, and the lights..." he trails off as he walks inside, Angela trying her best to hide behind him. "Oh, hey, you're a couple of the other entrants! Nice to meet you guys, I'm... uh, I'm Gordon, and this here's..." He stops mid-sentence to talk to the beetle-like Pokemon. "Angela, relax, there aren't any Flying types in here, it's okay," he says to her as she surfaces from behind him. "This is Angela, she's kinda afraid of... a lot of things. Mostly Flying types, though, it's a long story, I don't really want to get into it, and- I'm sorry, I'm rambling again, so who are you guys?" he asks with an overly nervous attitude about him, making it rather obvious he's not too great with people.
Sableye shoots Grey an eager look that says "If I BELIEVE I'm a flying type, can I enact one?" Grey just glares at him. "Hey I'm Grey, this is Lobmonster and Dark Prince. It looks like there's a lot more than just you and I Koops." He says rubbing the back of his head and grinning.
"Hey there, this is Ace" Crosis gestures to his Arcanine "and I am Crosis, from Sinnoh."
Tailfnz the Sage
"Nice meeting all of you," Gordon replies with a smile. He looks around the room, curious to see if there is anyone else there. "Say... is this everybody? I was told there'd be eight entrants..."
"I'm thinking there will be more coming." Grey says while calling Dark Prince (who is currently making flapping motions and moving towards the heracross) back into his ball.
Lobmonster meanwhile seems to be sizing up the competion, with his pincers in front of his face he is LITERALLY measuring the competition. However, the pincers being in front of his face makes everything seem much smaller. And therefore the crawduant gets a nice ego boost that all of the opposition is so small.
Tailfnz the Sage
Gordon scratches his head, wondering what the deal with Grey's Pokemon is, and why they're so strange. "So, that's uh... quite the
pair of Pokemon you've got there, Grey," he says as he returns Angela to her Ball. "Actually, I don't think interesting is quite the right word... How did you come across that Sableye?"
Letum laid on the bed in his room, eyes closed and absentmindedly petting Vesper, his Umbreon.
that partly reminded him of his region, he wondered if all the participants had arrived yet or not. And when the whole thing would start. And if the food here was free.
Answering Gordon, "Yeah, they're pretty special. Well, Lobmonster is, Prince is a little extra something else. I found Dark Prince in a cave one day just like normal, from what I learned he was trying to awaken the darkness within Lob. Y'know, dark type and all? Lobmonster is apparently not evil enough for Prince's tastes. Anyway, seems he has succeeded in some part because Lobmonster acts differently when he battles with Prince, but that's the only time." Grey snaps back, "Oh, sorry I digress, yes. Dark Prince believes himself to be related to the worlds first evil or something... I have no proof of this or anything, but he definitely has some kinda gear turning in his head that makes him different. He can do things I've never seen any kind of Sableye do."
The door opens, and a giant Crobat goes through it, breaking it. At first it just looks like a stray Crobat, but then a girl jumps off its back, grinning excitedly.
"Sorry I'm late! We decided to take a short cut." She looks at the door. "Whoops! Sorry about that too...."
"Nah, it's fine. Just tell the folks who own this building that you were training. They won't care. I've lost count at how many things have broken after Mac here tried to sit on them... but anywho!" Koops strolls up to the girl and sticks out his hand. "The names Koops. Nice t'meetcha"
Tailfnz the Sage
Gordon stands on and gawks at the shattered doorway, stunned at the force that the Crobat must have had in order to break it down, and just as much that everyone else seemed like it was no big deal that it had just been destroyed. He tries to act as normal as possible and greets her with a smile. "And I'm Gordon. Nice meeting you..." The fact that the girl continued to smile on weirded him out.
deciding not to rush the poor girl Grey figures he'll wait a bit to greet her. Turning to Crosis, "What are the odds that five contestants all pop into the same training room, am I right?" He says chuckling. "I just wonder if there are others around here already, I mean, I got lost in here it's big enough." Realizing he doesn't want to give off the vibe of being incompetent he quickly comes to attention and changes the subject, "Er, uh, if five contestants are here, maybe the other three are here already? We may wanna go and check with the officials." He says, putting his hands behind his head while laughing nervously.
Before they can all decide on what to do, a loud bell sounds throughout the training room. THe large moniters, until then glowing with repetitive screensavers, flickered into a new image. In it was the tournament bracket, for eight people. Next to each competetors name, was a high-res picture of their face. The lineups for round one read as
ROUND 1, Segment 1:
Arena 1: Crosis vs. Grey
Arena 2: Koops vs. Letum
Round 1 Segment 2:
Gordon vs. Scyth
Emily vs. Thorn
An announcement blares from the intercom.
Competetors of Segment One! Please submit your choices of pokemon to the judge and move to your respective arenas. Competetors of Segment Two, please wait in the Lobby until it is your turn to compete! Good luck to all!
The intercomm flickers off, and Koops turns to grin at the others.
"Well looks like I'm off!" He claps both Grey and Chrosis on the shoulders.
"Looks like you two will be up against each other. Hahaha! Good luck!"
PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR FIVE GUYS AND THEIR ORDER TO CORIN NOW
