Right now the mother of all ponytail is Saeko Busujima. All other opinion is now invalid.

In all seriousness though, I think Saeko-chan doesn't really count here. First of all, when we see her for the first time, she isn't sporting the ponytail, and secondly, she doesn't sport it as her everyday style.

It's kind of like.... if I kidnap Tsukiumi, and tie her hair into a ponytail. Imagine that. Dream of that. Me violating your moonshine with a ponytail.

A couple classic ponytails - Makoto Kino (Sailor Jupiter) or Yaten Kou/Sailor Star Healer from Sailor Moon.

That's what I'm talking about! Jupiter was my favorite of the Sailors, and there's no question as to why probably the earliest combo of my fav color green + ponytail.

WOAH .. I dont travel that far back into the time ... I used to be HK comic addict, and when my junior introduced me to my first manga .. I dont really like it.. especially when HK comic are fully colored, 70pages comic every 2 weeks and the manga, 30 pages monochromed and comes out every month

Still, that title got its pony tail .. The title : Slam Dunk. Well, not really, but she do tied her hair back

I never really into manga that much, compared to my wife, she read almost everything .. except those that really really ecchi or too much gore.

Also, no matter how hard I tried, she wont read Claymore .. thus dont share my agony of waiting for the monthly dose

She's a BIG fanatic of Sailormoon .. so I end up buying 2 shelves for our DVD collections.. and sternly tells her that she must never put her sailormoon sets on my shelf

lol @ the monthly waits. My solace in sharing that agony is forums and discussion, like here. It's definitely fun here since you're not the only one waiting for the next ep/chapter

That's definitely it lol. If I recall correctly, she is the tallest of the initial 5, making her legs much more appealing to me than the others. And I have to admit, back then in the 90's I really couldn't admit that to anyone, society back then would have raised more than just an eyebrow

But nowadays I can talk about legs, ponytails and more!

How could I completely forget a couple of my other ponytail favorites; Annette Maximillion/Arnett McMillan of Freezing and Gemini Sunrise of Sakura Taisen V (New York), lol.

I'm gonna have to agree with KiNA the noob that Saeko-onee-sama is by far the best ponytail wearer there is.

Only others I think that can sport a awesome ponytail is Erza from Fairy Tail and Nanoha from MGLN(big fan of Nanoha's side ponytail)
