Considering that i have not seen the older ones, i would choose Donna. She and the Doctor seemed to have the most chemistry between themselves. I would also pick Amy Pond since they both enjoy each other's company and understands the other.

Hmm...that's true but the Doctor, i believe, did mention in the seventh season that he bonded the most with Amy Pond.

Mmm......I might of missed that. However, I always enjoy Rose Tyler as his companion than the others. But by all means, all of them were the Doctor's companion, I doubt he'll choose only "one" .
