The symbol of the twin goddesses is something we have to face several times in the whole story. First, the names of the two goddesses clare and theresa are the names of the two heroines. Second, it is this symbol which allows clare to keep track of raki. Third, the goddesses are the protectors of the holy city rabona like clare is in a way. And finally Rafaella used the shell of the twin goddesses in an last desperate attempt to seal the real destructive force of the destroyer.
Is it only some religious believe of the people of rabona and the island or has the twin goddesses theme a deeper meaning to the story and especially to clares and theresas fate?

Kahlua Shuzen (朱染 刈愛,Shuzen Karua) is the klutzy, naive, and mentally innocent older sister of Kokoa Shuzen and older half-sister of Moka Akashiya. Though she is the second oldest, she has a demeanor that describes her as the youngest, mentally. Kokoa harbors a deep fear of her since she "has the smile of an angel" and is apparently the best killer in the family, which is ironic since she hates to hurt others and cries whenever she kills. Her earrings are a limiter, similar to that of Moka's Rosario Cross, she has access to further transformations that allow her arms to develop razor sharp bat wings. According to Yukari Sendo, all vampires were able to take forms of other animals, but due to a vampire's vanity of beauty over form, this is considered a lost technique.
