okay so like i recently rewatched this anime and im absolutely shocked i didn't love this before. there's a lot of emotional subtlety going on beneath all the high-energy that my younger self that watched this back when it aired could not unpack. everything from Miki's competitive edge to Takane's maturity and counselor-like role to Chihaya to Makoto's insecurity about her outward appearance to just how
bro Iori is to other characters. Then the pacing too gradually emptying out 765's office, Chihaya still being the force she was, and oh dear don't even get me started on that last story arc where it actually all comes together in a big way and we just
see the wheels turning and know exactly what Haruka is gonna run into like dear God my heart broke just seeing the unraveling of a wholesome desire and a girl whose strength was in her friends even as she leads them through obstacle after obstacle as the story went on. at that pt, the main problem i have w/ the anime, the fact its cast is caught between being an ensemble and having a main character(s), becomes nearly override by just how much it's each other that they all care about w/ the glitz and glamor coming second and omg im tearing up thinking about just how sweet it is okay im gonna sign off now that's fangirling outta me ahahah...haha
