Digital Photographers United - Picture It Competition September/October - Sky
____
General Rules:
Only your own work!
The picture must be taken by you and the processing of it must be done by yourself as well. Joint entries are allowed but in this case all the participants must be credited. If you get caught posting stolen works, the entries will be rejected and you'll be excluded from the current event. This means that you won't be allowed to re-enter to the competition with a different entry.
Only photographic elements!
While composing your final entry out of several photos is allowed. All the elements in your entry must be photographic. You can combine several of your own photos into a single image and process it as you wish but no artificial elements are allowed. You can use brushes, textures etc, elements to make corrections to your entry, for example you can add film grain or paper texture to the image but you're not allowed to use these to create new elements to the picture or change the properties of the existing ones.
As an exception to this rule you're allowed to add borders of your liking to your entry.
Technical regulations:
Submit your entry as a JPEG image. Maximum dimensions are 1600x1600px. Filesize is unlimited.
Theme: (by Ledgem)
Sky
Whether clouds are present or not; whether in the day or the night; regardless of what ever else is shown, your photo should emphasize the sky in a meaningful way. (For technical limitations, I'd suggest that the sky take up at least 20% of your picture's area.)
Entry Period:
September 7th to October 25th. (12pm UTC)
You can submit as many entries to this thread as you wish, however you can enter just one as your final entry for the contest. You can submit your final entry by posting in this thread or as private or profile message to me (escimo). When posting it to thread make sure to clearly mark it as Final Entry. If you submit your entry as a profile message, mark the link to your entry as "Picture It - Final Entry" and as a private message use it as a subject.
Voting Phase:
October 25th to November 1st.
Entries will be posted as a public poll in the Fan Creations section.
You can check the relation to the UTC in your time zone
