I guess that's a common mistake. Although practically the whole totality of italians has been baptized and attended mass at least once, as of today christianity for the majority of italians is merely a tradition. More than 50% I'd say only goes to mass during major festivities like easter and christmas. And of course they do all the sacraments, but merely because those are perceived as natural steps in someone social life. After all you cannot marry in church if you don't do those.

However that doesn't mean they are not actually believer. I think those who believe in God and christianity in Italy are a good 70%-80%. But if you ask how many believe in every single thing the church says then the percentage can lower to 20% or below.

Just to make you understand, around 20-30 years ago the italians were called to vote for two referendum about divorce and abortion. I don't need to tell you what was the opinion of the church on those matters, but they both passed with a great margin.

In a few words the common mentality is: go to church to get a free pass to paradise and do whatever you want in your life.

Back to berrlusconi. The other party is comprised mainly of ex-communists who became moderated, and a part of the old center party that was complitely obliterated after a major scandal (the other half is with berlusconi anyway). The problem with the other party is that they can't seem to get enough votes to give a solid government. Last time they've been voted they didn't have enough people in the parliament to make laws to pass and so they had to resign in the end and new votes were made who saw Berlusconi winning again.

How is religion lived there in Hungary?

I guess democracy isn't democracy in the strictest sense there neither then. Are the other partys consists of the same sort of goodfornothing sorta persons? (It's sort of the same here then)

Bloody hell, still that girl might be younger than his* own granddaughter, he should be restricting his snake in his pants ffs. No wonder his missus is so keen to divorce.
But what about the Pope's and other religious people's opinion about such lechery? I've thought average italians are more religious and stricter than the rest of Europe, being so close to the Vatican and all. (Are you from Rome by the way?)

that's pretty much the same thing we hear here, but of course Berlusconi negates everything and you know he owns 3 of the six major TV broadcast station in Italy and the other three are TV state channel (and he's the head of the government). So while these voices can't be blatantly shut up, he and his yesmen always have the last word in this matter.

Frankly I don't think this is going to cause him any problem. There's been a lot worse on him on the past and they still vote him.

Anyway this is Italy not USA, even if it was proved that he's been receving blowjobs by Monika Lewinski nobody would care. What about lies? We have a list long enough to cover an A3 page of Berlusconi's lies already.

So what's up with Berlusconi and the young girls? The newspapers were quite full with him the other day. It says he was using professional whores, and he had a relation with an 18 year girl or something.
What's the true story from the italian point of view? I couldn't care less about his politics, but I'm curious how is he supported enough to be a prime minister if he's lying back and forth.

    I knew, I read that link you've provided .

Dunno I guess if I have to nominate my favorite studio I'd probably say Production IG. GITS was the first animeseries (and movie years earlier) I've seen, Eden, Seirei Moribito, Real Drive, Patlabor, all of those were pretty likeable, not to mention that almost all of them have been the most beautiful show at their time (arguably even more shiny than Kyoto Ani).

I haven't watched much of sunrise to be honest, but many of their show didn't appealed to me.

Sunrise can do shits and can do masterpieces at random.

I can tell you quite a few sunrise works that were incredibly outstanding:

Gundam, Daitarn 3, Ideon, Code Geass, Argento Soma, Cowboy Bebop, Infinite Ryvius, PlanetES, Escaflowne.

Cowboy Bebop is still my favorite anime above everything else

Infinite Ryvius is another anime I loved a lot.

About "tarallucci e vino" the link I provided does give a good explanation. Anyway it basically mean that a big quarrel and fierce discussion suddenly ends with the two parties sitting around a table eating "tarallucci" and drinking wine in a very friendly manner.

This is often used to highlight the anticlimatic resolution of a fierce battle with a somewhat lame and mundane outcome.

I could understand "e vino" (due to my spanish), but I didn't know what taralluci is, nor the expression when the two are used together, kinda like ~"Let's put this to rest".

I really doubt sunrise will do another cour of that series anyway. Well to be perfectly honest, Sunrise is hardly my favorite studio anyway, as they are obsessed with resurrecting dead characters, despite even FSN Shirou's eternal truth. So yeah, I find such kinda thing kinda lame generally.

Oh yeah I forgot those other flaws on sorakake I agree 100%

Anyway one more episode and that's the end. I'm really not expecting too much anyway but I have the feeling it will all end, like we italians says: "a tarallucci e vino".

Bloody rainstorms here in Hungary, My internet broke for 1,5 day O.o . It feels like I'm in Monsoony China or something.

I'm not satisfied with it neither, but I still watch it nevertheless. Maybe for the sake of completion or I dunno. I hate the protagonist though, she's like the most useless character I've seen recently. IMOCHAN IMOCHAN IMOCHAN. Get a grip ffs.
I don't find the series funny either, and I dislike mecha (fortunately there isn't much of that though), so in all honesty I couldn't explain why I'm watching it. Maybe because of Leopard (he's a cool guy or AI or whatever), or because despite it has so many flaws, it still doesn't reached the point where I just say "oh fuck that shit". (Although I fastforwarded the baseball episode, because it was ridiculous.)

Yeah I've seen Higu Rei 4 too, I was also anticipating some kinda more complicated answer, than just "it was just a dream". I'm pleased with that OVA so far anyway, it had an intriguing story nevertheless. I mean just take a look around the different OVAs. It's just fanservice and that's it (check out these for example: (NSFW) Utawarerumono OVA, or Akane Iro (some of Akane's scenes looks like hentai ffs)

Heh, I'm the 1000th visitor here woo.

Yes and I have mixed feelings about this show. I somehow appreciate the vast amount of elements they managed to insert in this series. However this series looks very shallow to me, nothing that could even remotely compare to other Sunrise projects. There isn't really much realism in this series, I mean... cute aliens, ghosts, kaijuu? It would be okay if this was an humoristic show, but it isn't, it doesn't really makes me laugh.

That apart the plot is kinda messed up, the twist at the end is kinda half-assed. That's the usual "the evil is actually good and the good is actually evil" thing that I've seen enough times already. And oh I've seen worse, but this isn't the best either. Miss Aleida suddenly returns to be Kagura without any explanation about how exactly she was controlled by Nerval or why she didn't get older. Actually she never looked like she was acting against her will so this turn of events is kinda disappointing. Then about Nerval he's now playing the part of the good guy. Yes okay... and what about all those coffins the psychological breakdown they cause to humans and the related shorter life span expectancy?

Well maybe I'm being too harsh, but I've seen a lot of better stuff from Sunrise, so my judgment is somewhat biased by comparisons.
