This is something that it depends on the person. For me there isn't a harem because Toori already likes her and the others (Asama, Neito, ****) support that. But at the same time the chances that something may happen in the future envolving Asama or Mitotsudaira are getting bigger

Well that's good to hear. Usually whenever a harem is included it sets off alarm bells in my mind. Of course not every one is terrible, but the majority usually are.

Infinite Stratos was actually a surprise to me. It's ecchi content was rather tame compared to most harems and it's action scenes (despite the lack of them) were absolutely phenomenal. Not to mention I have a liking for robots/mecha in general too. Only thing that really vexes me about it is that there's no explanation on why only women can pilot on IS. I mean why would someone build something that way? Anyway, it's not really THAT bad of a series but I don't think it deserves the popularity it has.


And yes those things are subjective, but I still figure such things should not be used to judge a series. A lot of people do it and it's very vexing to me. Of course it's their opinion so I can't really do anything about it. It'd just be nice if people tried to come out of their shell a little more often.

Mmmm...if you say so. Kind of disappointed that you say there's not much action as I thought though. I always like characters who fight with their bare fists. IT'S MANLY!~

And that's really only part of the aesthetics. A number of things are considered it like art style, music and such. Things that have little relevance to the actual plot.


I really hope Index doesn't focus more on harem antics than action scenes though considering what I've heard. I always enjoy a good fight scene rather than a "fight scene".

I do like it when the creator of a story tries to make their fictional world as detailed, interesting and imaginative as possible. (It's one of the reasons One Piece is my favorite series.) If the info sacrificed is too severe to understand the series completely though, then it's probably not a good idea. Besides, adaptations almost always are worse than the source material.

And let's just say I was expecting you to give a more "aesthetic" feature of the series as your reason for it being your favorite.~

Anywho, I'll consider Index as something to have a look at eventually. Gonna need to decide what I'd want more...a more detailed explanation of the universe or cooler action scenes...it's a tough decision.


And woot! the Persona 4 anime's first episode aired. Now to wait for subs.~

I was randomly browsing through the animes I collected over the years, and it was kinda funny to see how well Kyoto ani's productions have aged. Fmp's animation still looks as good, if not marginally better, than many shows even after 6 years. Guess they aren't top tier for nothing. Know any other shows that have aged well, or studios?

Hm, that certainly wasn't an answer I was expecting. I suppose I can respect the series for attempting to elaborate on the science vs religion/magic conflict. I dunno if it does it very well though.

It's too bad it's a light novel series. If it was a manga I'd probably feel more inclined to give it a try. Action is always a lot better when there are visuals to accompany it.
