-- WHC match to START show and is a squash that is shorter than it takes for me to type this. Wut. Awful and just reiterates how worthless that belt is. And you'd think Wm27 was already bad enough with Miz vs Cena to make a champion look bad.
-- Women's wrestling is as shit as ever
Eh, really? I usually don't call divas matches any good performance wise but at least this one actually got better treatment than the WHC match. To your point though I wouldn't be surprised if they got rid of the WHC altogether; being the belt of the "B-Grade" show doesn't help any...

Kane is just too worn out these days... skip
Eh, I'd say Kane's problem is that he can't get the audience to react the way they're supposed to. It doesn't matter whether he attacks a face or heel because it's just the kind of thing people expect from him at this point.

Rock vs Cena. Well, I love the Rock. But it's Cena match, and the only enjoyment you get from that is to watch Cena get booed. At least Cena's going Meta, and the Rock flew off the top rope wut? Otherwise fairly standard, "beat up the main character senseless and have him stage a last second comeback" except it's not done in Cena's favor. It could have been worse; this matchup was weak due to the lack of buildup as opposed to hype. They hyped it up for a year but promoted it so lazily, and the storyline... what storyline?
The sole problem with this match was Cena's overexposure and previous boring invincible hero syndrome. Cena's victory would have been too predictable, but now the torch passing didn't happen. Well, not where it intended to anyway.:P
I think this seals what I had been feeling all along - that WM28 is where I cut my ties for the greater part. Now that the Attitude Era stable is done, Punk, Y2J and maybe Alberto del Rio and Daniel Bryan have my interest but not enough to justify continuing.
Spoiler:
20-0 was a lot better than 19-0. It had the qualities that weren't in the 19-0 match but were in 17-0 and 18-0. It's the appropriate end for an era that will never be again and will likely be forgotten in the mists of time by a modern world so blindly ignorant of history and thinking anything not current is irrelevant or inferior. I am grateful that Undertaker's legacy has remained intact when it's all said and done. That ultimately loyalty, dedication and endurance was rewarded in the best way possible, because Mark William Callaway was as loyal and workhorse to Vince McMahon as anyone possibly could have been. He was also one that didn't quash careers or need his ego soothed. There's stains and queries aboutt he legacies of HBK (Montreal screwjob amongst other things) and Triple H (degree of favouritism from the top, killed Kennedy's career amongst others) in some ways but you can't say that about Undertaker. He helped cement the careeers of a lot of other people. So he got the reward he truly deserved. At least there is still some sense of justice in the world if Undertaker gets that legacy for the ages.
I don't have any issues with CM Punk winning. He's one of the few truly good things of the current crop. And Jericho is the type that does what is best for all. He's a great humanitarian IRL as well as a decent musician. He's one of the few people that doesn't let success go to his head or ruin careers for the sake of his ego (aka Orton). Some point this year he will get the title. I guess I'll check news every now and then to see when that will happen. They put on a quality match wrestling-wise, all one can ask for. However, I didn't like the buildup of having to use family because Jericho was always able to eat away at the person themselves via direct verbal assaults. It turned the scenario into making CM Punk righteous, which I didn't like. The buildup of something like Edge-Jericho at WM26 was better. The innuendo used here, i didn't enjoy at all.
Rock v Cena is the most overhyped thing ever. It's done nothing but made me resent The Rock in the end. Lots of trash talk and little action. Nothing can make up for Cena's limited moveset.
Kane vs Orton was reasonable. Some moves normally not seen from either and the finishing move was a good one. Nice to see Kane finally get some credit and for Orton to finally have his glutinous winning streak at big events snapped.
Show vs Rhodes - shrug. I think Show is effectively gag material now. The whole impact, comical and shock value ways of the modern era in all forms of media is what Show is being morphed into. Rhodes will probably be one of the better performers in the future but they now have to give him an angle to earn the crowd's consistent respect. He has momentum but I don't think people believe in Rhodes enough yet.
Laurinitis vs Teddy - this was an obvious result. It will clearly be the main storyline for months. I simply don't care. It's put me off of the weekly shows.
That squash of the WHC was a farce...So you give Daniel Bryan all that momentum then on the biggest stage, you make him look worthless. Sheamus is one of Triple H's stable and will always get preferential treatment. That was a disgrace and immediately prevented WM28 from being one of the better ones. Again, typical of the modern era - make something shocking and Twitterable.
Much better than WM27 but really the old schoolers carried it and there were definitely a number of WMs better than this.
So it's evident Cena is going to defeat The Rock. Let's hope the WWE has the decency to make Cena lose to whoever becomes the next face of the business.
I also share LS's sentiments; the moment HHH -and- Taker leave I'm calling it quits myself.
I wouldn't know, I'm done with it after WM28. I just want to see Y2J reclaim 'Best In The World' and Taker go 20-0. Then I can walk away having seen all I want to from it all.
Playlist will probably be something like:
Fist of the North Star
Akagi
Gintama
Kamen no Maid Guy
Needless
Sengoku Basara
Kaiji has been on the regular playlist for a long time. We've played season 1 in full and we're halfway through season 2. We're also currently playing Liar Game live-action on the regular playlist too.
For the record, you may have been kidding about blocking Reckoner. I wasn't.
Don't tell me what to do sir. I'm currently a superstar in the industry so I write whatever I please. Not to mention their butthurt tears are delicious and feed me lols.
And writing subtle dramas is such a hassle. It also doesn't sell and then my sponsors get angry at me. Melodrama is the way to go because 1. it sells 2. I enjoy the delicious tears everyone is boasting about that they are shedding.
Ah yes, the rear end... a rare thing to be glorified in anime these days, usually all of the attention is lavished on the front end. I'm pleasantly surprised that you liked Inori, it seems like a lot of people complain about her.
