Yeah, its not easy to follow up after not one, not two, but three big dramatic moments and still have some punch to your finale (Re:zero is facing a similar issue as well), and I agree on that being the worst case scenario: Muse had an full episode epilogue, and this time all the third years have been invested in being idols from the get go, and its been established much earlier they have little time left. To cut off all that potential for a dramatic punch, and more character depth with focus episodes, would be tragic.

Still, it is a possibility, which is why I'm half scared.

As for the third years, I believe the finale lacked impact, despite being well done, and yes, the dynamic between the second years has been handled very well.

My week was pretty good. Finally started my vacation, and while I'm taking it easy with anime watching, I did finally catch up with the last season of sailo moon (the remake, I mean). Gotta make space in that HD for what's coming. Oh, and tomorrow is my goddaughter's birthday, so we'll be getting her some cake by her house. Between her and her big brothers is gonna be a hectic, but fun time.

Definetly looking forward to both as well, though now I wonder how exactly sunshine will wrap up its first half (if there's no second season, I'll eat all my games) now that all potential (believeable) drama sources have been (very well) used. I'm half excited, half scared, to be honest. Not so much on ange vierge, though, that's guaranteed to be a fun ride no matter what.

Seems like you're really into Sunshine right now? I am still a bit skeptical and it seems like Chika and Riko are the only thing that can be serious. Everything else still feels very childish, especially after the 3rd year drama is over, they now act just as childish as the first years. Mari's character is getting better though. I know a lot of people love the childish and overacting, but i still can't get over it. The other beef is the music and i haven't found anything i would listen to twice besides Step! Zero to One, Heroes and Azalea songs. It is hard to explain, but i just can't see any charm in most of the music. They just harmonize very good and that is about it.

Subs for LL are finally out, in case you don't know.

Sunshine did not dissapoint, and I think this counts as You's big shining moment.

I must say I greatly enjoy your recent post on LLSS E11. So, sorry in advance if my Yuri goggles sound like they're totally fogged over here.

Having watched the episode almost the entire day, its now almost impossible for me to see Chika/Riko in anything other than the serious scenario. I mean, even the very first scene cemented it for me. I STILL have memories almost 10 years later of my then-girlfriend waving goodbye at the Newark train station and after 20 minutes after calling her to make sure she got home fine I found out she was still there. I know Chika's face was hidden in that scene but its pretty obvious she was probably holding back tears.

There were quite a few other moments where the serious side manifested, but the first scene felt the strongest to me.

But yeah, thanks for making those posts. It generally keeps me from having to get involved with arguments though they're inevitable.

Okay, as mentioned a few days ago, here's an update.

    - I may have finally determined the core problems that were making my computer almost keel over. The monitor was a simple fix. The video card was utterly outdated and had to be replaced. Having a 2nd friend come take a look and do some different kinds of tests revealed something surprising. The power supply - the 2nd one I'd bought in the existence of this computer - seemed to have been failing, so that's been replaced. But that didn't fix everything. Turns out the other core problem was not the motherboard, but the RAM. Sticks my friends gave me gave up the ghost rather quickly. I switched back to the RAM sticks I'd had on the original setup since 2009 and things worked again. Unbelievable. So I had to sink a lot of money to get it working again. Half of the computer is now brand new parts. Sometime next year, hopefully I can afford to replace the rest. While things are working again, the memory is being pushed to the limit.

Political turmoil - well, the Liberals are being their usual selves. And the parliament is blocking a lot of what they want to do. Interesting times ahead.

Weather is finally improving. My legs don't feel like hell anymore. Going to get back to the gym and start getting in shape.

Have not been watching much anime lately. Will catch up once episodes of the titles I'm with are all out. I'd rather marathon them.

NFL season is under way. Great season opener between Denver and Carolina. Massive day of games tomorrow. Psyched to see how things unfold. New England vs Arizona is going to be a sweet prime-time game.

Games-wise, yeah, that's where more of my time has been post-AVCon. Played Overwatch a lot in July. August, once I had that new video card I finally got to play Wolfenstein: New Order after years of waiting to be able to. Also tried out the expansion to Renowned Explorers and was very impressed. Amazing story-telling options got mixed into making gameplay more involving and strategic. And as August came to a close, World of Warcraft: Legion went live. Yep, that's been my focus lately. Blizzard might actually have made the best expansion of this title ever. Time will tell as to whether it beats Wrath of the Lich King, but this is easily top 2.

WWE - things have gradually gotten better. WM32 was a joke. But after that, the right people were getting pushed and some great events happened. AJ Styles, Dean Ambrose and Kevin Owens have really helped things improve. Unfortunately, Summerslam was a fizzle overall despite AJ Styles and John Cena having an epic that earned the rare praise of Dean Meltzer and the fan universe in general. Hoping Backlash tomorrow gets back on the right track.

AFL, Adelaide won an elimination final last night. They survive for another week and have to go to Sydney next weekend. I despise Sydney more than any other team because of how they exploited living expenses in their recruiting (which they eventually got fined for, but not before making a long-term powerhouse). So here's hoping Adelaide can make the prelim final. Been a good season but I'd like them to go one week further than they did last year.

Seinarukana was awesome in the time I played all routes on Normal and was doing one on Hard before focus changed. Steam version comes out in October. Flowers got a Steam release a few weeks ago but I'm waiting for my limited edition copy to arrive, which will be soon. This looks like the pinnacle of yuri from what I've seen. I think you, Kotohono and Tempester would really enjoy this. It's only around 20 dollars on Steam. LE is pricier of course but has some very desirable merch. I think the three of you would appreciate Seinarukana too, but it can be a challenging RPG at times. Although I'd gladly give advice where needed. Flowers seems to be more of a mystery/detective one with some very dreamy yuri context.

BTW, heard Trudeau was put in a comic. Sounds like you have an awesome leader in Canada for that to happen. I think the only thing people here would do with that of our leaders would be to wipe their rear ends, heh.

    Peace. Hope you're well.

While I say my opinion of Chika hasn't changed much, I'm glad the episode has finally addressed their issues. So some things have changed - happy You is a relief and while Chika I'm still not too fond of, I can treat You's feelings as my own.
And no worries, I joined a forum to discuss all sorts of things xD
In all honesty, I find the love triangle in LL Sunshine far better handled than the one in Macross Delta. Well, I also find LL Sunshine is handled better in general to Macross Delta. What I love about LL Sunshine is that the triangle members actually consult each other and others about their feelings. We get little of that in Delta, except for that silly and awkward (sorry, I thought it was x.x) moment between Mirage and Freyja where they briefly talked about Hayate.
I far prefer HayaFrey to ChikaYou. I believe Freyja can get a grip without having to be rejected by Hayate, and HayaMira still feels very unnatural. ChikaYou I wouldn't mind, but that would require sinking ChikaRiko and I don't see that happening.
