Don't want to go into offtop too much in Claymore thread so I'll answer here.

There is this unique manga called Dorohedoro which I really, Really, REALLY recommend since it's a pearl among manga. Graphic isn't top notch and one could say it looks dirty and chaotic but it has really well thought out plot (once you reach volume 16 you will notice how far ahead author thinks) and most of all great characters. Plus as a bonus there is really funny dark humour. And it has a certain atmosphere to it (also thanks to the graphics). That would be my first and most important recommendation.

Another great manga that isn't too well known is Desert Punk. It's the best post-apocalyptic manga I've read (and anime Desert Punk is one of the best anime I've seen). With manga it's that problem that scanlations are released very slowly (1 vol. per year or even slower) but there is anime which I really recommend.

If you liked Gantz you should also check Shingeki no Kyojin which is currently a big hit in Japan. It started not long ago (there are only 5 or 6 volumes) but the atmosphere reminds me the one in Claymore or Gantz, you never know who will die next. Unfortunately the art isn't too great but it affects the imagination and that's what counts. Check out first two volumes of this manga and see for yourself.

I also really recommend Vinland Saga (but you probably know this one already) and Planetes and almost every Urasawa manga (PLUTO, 20th Century Boys, Monster). And my favourite shounen titles are FMA, Trigun/Trigun Maximum, Hunter x Hunter, Gintama, Detective Conan, Get Backers but since they're shounen there's a high chance you might not like them as much as I have.

There is also Kaiji and Akagi and One Outs but it's for people with certain taste too.
