For me, there's just a point where I have to laugh at all of it. Because sometimes, not even facepalming is enough.

Heh, and the people who aren't so tolerant are great for laughs. I'm not even annoyed by them all that much anymore.

I love the Nanoha FFT crew. I've never been among people who are so tolerant about the different pairings people write about. It was always one way or the other with the fandoms I used to be in.

And there is the flaw!

Reminds me a lot of the Zutara shippers in the Avatar fandom. They used to go on and on about how great their pairing was and even wrote out these huge, long essays about it on their accounts, but in the end it just had the rest of us blinking in confusion and scratching our heads.

You win by default, then! They're both dead and can't be paired off with anybody else still alive!

I was involved in the fanfiction writing for a little while and read the manga, but I haven't touched it in two or three years since then, so I don't really remember all of what was going on. I still read about the fandom wank for the LOLZ, though.

Oh, God, yes. Though sometimes I felt sorry for the Zutara shippers. Quite a few of them were logical and friendly, but so many of them were idiots that they all got cast in that light, especially with the attacks on the Kataang and Maiko fans.

I remember from my brief involvement in the Bleach fandom that there was a huge ship war over IchiHime and IchiRuki. I was on the IchiRuki side of things, but I never got involved in any of that. Now, the Kataang vs Zutara debate in Avatar: The Last Airbender, on the other hand...

Heh, on my end I'm plugging away at a ViCia fluff request fic I got last night from a good friend, and I'm currently debating love in the Dating thread. Lots and lots of fun with that.
