I don't remember. I think I read a post some 10~14 hours ago, that even the character designs weren't really revealed until the show itself started? I'd need to set aside some time to check that out.

I...don't even know where to start.

Well the largest complaints stem from the horrid animation / artwork. As well as how "dull/boring" it all felt. At least for the majority of viewers. While the background art & Sound design of the show are pretty nice really, they seem to be overlooked due to how either characters faces literally appear/disappear while on screen. or how disgusting they look. Since the director used rotoscoping, and whether its been executed badly beyond belief, or done on purpose is something else...

A lot of people saw screen caps that immediately turned them off, so when they watched the episode it sealed the deal too. Some dropped within minutes, others within the first scene. People who stuck through the entire episode felt bored, or wanted to literally burn something. Even the thread tags on Asuki is quite...something for it.

There's just so much of what's going on. Marcus H. recently made a thread about the certain animation/art style that's related to it Post here For instance, in his post just open the image tag, it's just one of the comparison shots for the manga vs anime of Aku no Hana.

That's somewhat of a summary, but there is a number of other things too that I don't feel like either reading/checking over or well finding what else has been said of the show.

Personally I'm not too irriated by how the show turned out. It does sort of give a half assed feel at a lot of points, but since the director stated it would "impact" the audience in a way never before...

You could always go ask Marcus what he thought of it, or AD since they watched it too. Among...many other users.

Oh okay. I'm not sure if it'd be wise to tell you. Probably end up as a waste of time. Disregard the existence of the show then I suppose.

Chaos, how about that shitstorm in regards to Aku no Hana? Everyone's disgust with it is understandable, but hilarious.
