Well, yeah (regarding the game announcement thread again) -- Dengeki G's and Dengeki Hime are two magazines focused on the bishoujo gaming scene (with the big difference being that G's is "all-ages" and has manga in it, where Hime is "18+" and focusing more on game previews). They both have listings of upcoming games in every month's issue, and are often one of the many sources where new games are announced. Of course, the Internet is probably a better and more timely source (since everything's always on the Internet first), but it at least provides a nice way to cross-check the database/listing for accuracy and completeness.

That being said, it depends on whether completeness is actually the goal. If it's a more casual thread where people just post about the games they're looking forward to (as opposed to every single one announced by anyone), then it may be a bit easier to manage, and we wouldn't have to worry so much about databases, cross-checking, or the burden of the sheer quantity being announced every month. So that's another option that may be a bit more feasible given the time involved. What do you think?

Heh - re: the new bishoujo game announcement thread, that's nuts all right. There are at least 15-20+ released a month! The difficulty is that a thread isn't very well-suited to that sort of thing, because it'll get to be painful to track what has and what hasn't been posted. I think we may be better off having some sort of monthly index in the first few posts, and then announcements posts as things are added to the list. This seems like the sort of thing just more suited for a database than a thread!

In any case, we'll see what happens... I may at least be able to contribute the monthly listings out of Dengeki Hime or whatever.

Even with only 3 forums to visit daily, I struggles to find time lately >_<
