Well that one was obvious, along with your response.

    Phooey...well fine. Be like that!

I, however, shall go triumphantly eat some pistachio gelato in your general direction as a statement against something or other!

    You are weak!

    You need to train more!

Go to the mountains and defeat eight bears at once in hth combat and then meditate under waterfalls!

I am curious Pocari, what do you plan to watch in the fall season?

I think Glasslip tries to pointedly avert common tropes in its unusually non dramatic narrative. I don't know if that counts as intellectual or just meta but that's one reason. There's also the references to those books between Sachi and Hiro that sounds a lot like it's meant to give their relationship some added depth if you actually understand it (I don't). And then there's the piano pieces.

But perhaps "intellectual" was too strong. I think it's trying to be smart though.

    Hmm...good reflections. And fair enough.

As for why I picked it up? Essentially I was told that the story was beginning to make sense and resolve itself in eps 9 some and moreso 10 and that I should reeaaallllyyyyy give it a fresh chance. So I did.

And I guess it did get a bit better, but for now it seems to have not been enough. We will see with ep 12. But then again, it could be better later on when I re-watch it. Stranger things have happened, and I must admit that I like it when I am shown that my initial impressions were not totally balanced or fair or whatever. Why lose an opportunity to gain a greater appreciation for something and enrich yourself a little more? My recent re-watch of both Hanasaku and NagiAsu both did that for me, and I am...well...glad for it.

Oh? Hmm. What did you think of my "freshly minted" analysis after watching from beginning up through ep 11?

No. The fact that I picked up Glasslip and made a lengthy post...was expecting you to carpet bomb me.
