actually I don't really like the whole concept behind blogs, I really can't care the less of reading on someone's life, but since I'm lazy I thought to use the interface to publish my strips.
Literally speaking what I'm doing is not a blog.

I already took your blog virginity and commented on Kanon . I never knew you are into blogs and such things.

I've read the first volume. You don't really miss anything if you don't read it. And I said many times already Battler seems to get an heart attack for any stupid thing. Like for example he does that "keichi paranoid omgimgonnagetkilled" face just because he reads of murders in the epitaph.

He does the same when Maria says "misfortune misfortune misfortune" when she notices the missing torii. That's pretty annoying imho, and instead of increasing the tension it spoils it.

However if you are a fanatic and you want to look at the story from another point of view you can give it a try. I have the feeling that Ryukishi has given instructions about the small particulars that must be kept.

I mean, there are tons of cuts in the manga, the whole airport scene is missing, but you still see Kanon saying that "even I..." thing.

I agree, generally whatever is the source format is mostly better than the adaptation (albeit there are exceptions).
No for some reason Manga just doesn't hold my interest.
Apropos Manga. What's your take on the Umineko Manga? Shall I bother reading it, or it's not even remotely interesting after the game?

Wow you didn't read any manga? °_°

    I've tons of them!

Well technically speaking... the original work usually is a lot better than the derivative works. So since the 80% if anime are based on manga, then the manga are usually better. However if you take Cowboy Bebop, the anime is wonderful the manga sucks. that's because the anime is the original work.

However lately there's been a very high increment of anime that are based on VN and light novels. In this case the manga versions aren't any better. Also in the last 10 years there's been an increase of anime not based on other media, and usually they are above the rest for quality.

Just think about Evangelion and Cowboy Bebop. I would elso add Ghost in the shell, because in fact it only takes the general idea of the manga but the stories are completely new.

No worries I was just asking.
I prefer reading VN than watching anime to be honest. I mean you basically have more power over a VN than an anime, and VNs can implement emotions and such better. Also VNs are more extended as they don't really have limitation. How many VNs they made from an anime anyway? Like maybe a few (Code Geass comes into my mind and that's it), but I'd say like 50-100+ of the contrary. (according to the wiki 121 including a few western games)
Not to mention that most of those suck anyway, as they just couldn't adapt it properly, because the VN source is more enjoyable.
Additionally I used to be always the "black sheep" all the time, if everyone is watching anime, than probably I'd try to enjoy VNs more . For some mysterious reason I never really like to follow the masses.
On a side note, I've never read a manga all my life. The last comic I've read was like Garfield back like 12+ years ago . Albeit I think I DLed ep1 Umineko manga sometimes, is it any good? Shall I bother reading it, or it's not that great?

edit By the way there's again a new leaked Higurashi episode, but it's so talk-heavy I couldn't understand anything of the raw : / . Too bad people aren't doing softsubs anymore. Then I could watch the subbed episode with the crappy leaked version now, but all the groups want shiny hardsubbed HD .MKV-s. (oh gosh how I hate .MKV anyway. My computer can't play some of them properly)

I don't know I prefer the first anime actually. That new one is just far too rushed for me to enjoy, and not enough Armstrong. To be honest the other one centered around the characters, but that adaptation is just far too faithfully tries to animate everything from the manga, and the result feels like it's missing something.
I mean take Hughes' death for example. He basically haven't done ANYTHING prior the episode he died (how much screentime he had? like 10 minutes altogether?), then suddenly in the ep he dies he gets like half the episode for himself. That feels wrong to me.
To be perfectly blunt if I were not to know the characters probably I would have already given up on the series.
And yeah I love the OP too. That and Eden of the East are the only OP's I like this season (Phantom or Asura Cryin for the third place maybe)
Speaking of Eden: The torrent of GG subbed episode 11 is up.

Any VN you are playing currently?
