What's the animation studio behind Canaan? Those people are pretty good. BTW the second episode of Canaan really hooked me up. Those guys singing China-Pop while being targeted by a psycho with a machine gun were simply genial.
About your statement. If Prod IG would have been the one to adapt it that would be easily one of the most epic thing in the world of Anime to be honest, despite that their forte is more like the background images and visually stunning interiors/exteriors.
It's strange as I wrote in my post the exact same wish about Prod IG, however decided not to send it at the last minute.
Maria's facial expressions make me dislike the anime... It is at the point where it's getting silly and really distracting. I'm not really fond of her voice either.
Eh, now we finally have character discussion threads, and then large bright red says you can't discuss anything from the VN :/ .
Then how come that manga readers can discuss really end spoilers on the FMA board's character threads (or gameplayers about Alicia of VC, or even better: Haruhi novel readers about their characters)? Those would spoil the same way as Umineko would do. If someone wants to read the future spoilers basing it on source material just click on the spoiler tab, and if not just avoid it. I don't know why can't it be the same with Umi. It doesn't feel right :/ .
Well yeah I admit Ronove is kinda cool. Anyway it's not like I'm completely indiffernt it's just that I can't really say I'm attached to them. Even if they die I don't care XD, beside they will probably be resurrected anyway, so who cares?
"Am I the only one that doesn't feel a particular attachment for any character even after 4 VN?"
I'm not attached to them either to be honest. The only one who's style I like is Ronove. The rest of antymistery are trolls (except Sakutarou, but he is a shota which I dislike), and the chessboard characters are suspicious of being the killer. Since I never could eliminate the possibility of one of them being the culprit, I can't really say that I'm attached to any of them. (And don't even remind me of the 1998 chars).
Johnny Depp buttler is cool though (and maybe GARsmith too, but he's a wee bit lunatic, +he's dead so dunno about him).
Yeah i read that umineko parody, that's great stuff! I laughed a lot at the Eva beep sequence XD
Anyway I've just seen endless eight 4, and yep theres' going to be another one!!!! Actually, at this point I fear there will be eight in total.
I must say that this time it was significantly different from the others. I mean... graphically. The story is exactly the same with very few variations, but at least this time the way the scenes were presented were noticeably different.
However that alone can't justify this madness. The only ones who will appreciate this stuff are otaku that will pass their time finding all and any little difference.
Anyway I think I know why the loop doesn't stop, Kyon needs to finish his homework! I wonder if I'll win a cookie XD
About the K-on stuff. I admit that the animation of this episode really reminded my of K-on on several instances. However I don't know what to get about this except the obvious fact that both series are animated by the same persons.
I'm not vouching that it's exactly the same (as I still can't be arsed to watch it), but judging from the episode thread, it is about more or less the same thing. Oh well, it be nice to see the DVD coming out:
episode2: Endless Eight v1
episode3: Endless Eight v2
episode4: Endless Eight v3
episode5: Endless Eight v4.
Brilliant. They should sell the DVDs as individual disks seperately, so we'd know how much of the repeated episodes they are going to sell.
What's your take on such obvious similarities between the new animation and K-on? Or is it just me who think they K-ON-ified Haruhi (and obviously not just her, there are other lookalikes among the rest too).
