Well I appreciate you reading it, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask. I'm busy right now with writing and revising the sequel, the cover for which you have already seen. Humida prefers the sequel already, so I suppose you might as well. For the first time in what seems like an eternity, Humida (also one of my editors) has actually been very complimentary of its early chapters.

I will say I'm surprised you're finding anything you like in "Claymore: New Era". Besides featuring Miria in a romance you disapprove of, and it differs dramatically in tone from your own fanfics. To be honest JB, the fact that you sent me a link to Eva's remarks and then said "sometimes criticism helps you improve as an author" makes me think there are parts of the fanfic with which you are very unhappy. My editors Awa303, MiriaJiyuu, and especially Humida are also not fans of the "Imperial Fire" approach, which you praised. So I guess you could say my expectations are your list of dislikes will be in direct conflict with my editors' advice, especially the advice of Humida.

Maybe I'm being too pessimistic, but I couldn't get Humida to read more than a sample page of "Imperial Fire" before he said "ugh, no thanks". You in contrast said, "wow... this good...really really good." Oh boy, I can almost see the clashing advice already.

It was 180 US. 150 for the initial version, and then 30 to get it really polished off. The current plan is for him to start up on the cover for "Claymore: New Era" in a few weeks. That particular fanfic must really not be to your taste, because it seems you've stopped reading it. Oh well, I guess I can't win over everyone. I suppose, since you liked "Imperial Fire" so much, that you liked the epic-length romps in that book and its general super-descriptive nature. I had considered the former, but my editors, particularly Humida, felt that would be distracting to the main story.

Oh, don't worry about my reaction, I was much more amused than offended. I'm just trying to figure out his reasoning in how he made fun of it. "This is claymore...not Roma!" doesn't quite make sense to me, but perhaps Limao can explain what he meant by that. I enjoyed it overall, so don't worry about my temper.
