First of all, your avatar is terrible and perhaps, is an accurate representation of your inadequacies as a human being: it demonstrates your lack of empathy and belief of your own superiority during your time as a so-called 'fansubber'. Simply put, it sucks, and your final blog post is a fair appraisal of what you'd done with your life while you were entangled in the practise: you wasted ten years of your life trying to control people and ultimately failed.

From the legacy [gg subs] left behind, it is clear that you and "coda" saw yourselves as the sole guardians of a form of entertainment that wasn't really worth that much at the end of the day. Between a minimal understanding of Japanese and the software needed to make this entertainment accessible, you were able to control how people consumed their media, and it was this immature sense of power you and "coda" craved. It must've been a good feeling to translate things incorrectly or provide misleading, untrue side notes to demonstrate your own percieved superiority over others, and have people heap praise on you, "coda" and [gg subs] for daring to be edgy and subversive. Indeed, the preference for introducing juvinile, crude and ironically, unoriginal humour and memes from the internet's worst hellholes, 4chan, into your subs did have a noticeable impact on fan-subbing. Even to this day, the likes of CommieSubs and Coal-Guys continue injecting jejune and irreverent memes into their subs. However, it is fortunate that a considerable shift in the times have rendered these groups irrelevant, with a fanbase that declines year after year.

At the height of [gg subs]' popularity, you were able to control people's experience with your crass and sarcastic 4chan memes, walls of text consisting of "facts" that turned out to be improperly researched, and force them to adopt the inferior MPC standard to open your video files. This art, which others have called 'troll subbing', was meant to degrade and diminish the experience of other anime fans with the aim of pushing them out of the hobby: as your blog post indicates, you hate anime, but it is not enough for you to not watch it. Instead, you also felt the compulsion to stop others from watching it. People typically seek to control others where they lack the same control in their lives, and from what your final blog post states, when the practise proved completely ineffectual from a lack of respect paid towards [gg subs], you decided to call it quits. You left no impact on the anime industry as you'd hope, and the only achievement to your name is that you wasted ten years of your life. The community is doing just fine without you, and one hopes that when you say you wanted to set aside childish things, you meant that you realized just how idiotic you were by making fan-subs and injecting innane memes and walls of text into them with the childish intent of "destroying anime". That you've closed the comments to your blog shows you're too proud to admit when you've made a mistake,

For anyone who comes upon this, they should at least know TheFluff is not a respectable person in any capacity. Oh, and by the way, the iPads TheFluff impotently called 'cheap plastic toys' are now more powerful than equivalent Windows laptops and can decode his vaunted h246 codec videos with subtitles in real time with greater efficiency than whatever tools he'd cared so greatly for a decade earlier. If anyone still agrees with TheFluff today or has praises to sing for him, I'd more more than open to hearing your apology.
