What makes you think he'd be willing to show it to me? Even if he's talked about it with me, that's a very private thing.

Then you probably need to accept that there's nothing that you as a person can do for him. He needs serious emotional help, and you can't provide it for him with how he is right now; and no offense to Sam, but she pretty much screwed over every step she had Angelo take in the right direction by going off and killing herself.

There's no such thing as "not doing it on purpose". He might not have been aware of it, he might not even be aware of it now, but even subconciously, he did it on purpose. And if he can't survive them, then that's a deeply fatal flaw that he needs to come to terms with if he ever wants to recover. It isn't right or natural to use barriers to block out the pain and sadness we feel; it isn't possible to grow, to change, if we don't cry and feel hurt.

Then that's his own problem. He chose to put up that wall and keep people out, even when they want to help him.

Then he has a serious problem and needs help for it. Something that happened twelve or so years ago shouldn't continue to have such a major impact on his life. If it is, then he needs to seek counseling, or see someone who knows how to genuinely help him, because there's something off.

I can't say because I remember absolutely nothing from the time I was six, except for maybe a few scattered memories here and there. And on top of that, I get they were friends, but honestly? When you're six, unless you're majorly mature in a variety of ways, you have absolutely no concept of "death" and "lifeless" and "body". Maybe it's different if it's a close friend, but it still shouldn't be something that traumatizies you nearly twelve years or so later after the fact.

Hold on. Just, hold on a minute, here. You mean to tell me that the parents left two six-year-olds alone in the house? And Angelo never even thought to call 9-1-1 for help?

Actuallly, in mentioning of fathers, where the hell was the girl's parents when this happened? I can understand that he was young, so he probably couldn't save her, but I find it hard to believe that he didn't try to find them for help or they just left her to die. Even parents who absolutely despise their children will make an effort of keeping them alive so the cops don't hunt them down.

You mean they "spent"? If she's dead and all.

Also, forgive me for having very little sympathy for him. I'll concede that it was a traumatizing event for any child, but it was his choice to let that make him "dark" and "hateful". there are two ways to respond to pain: either you accept it and move on with your life, making yourself better in that person's memory, or you let it have a negative effect on you and who you are once it happens.

That was his choice. I talked to him because I recognize his pain, and I want to help him. But how he ended up this way, is his own fault. That's something he has to realize and change.
