Best Moe (Korea) is going again, by the way. Do you have a link to the voting arena there?

Thanks a lot for that list pic! ^_^

You might find the pic in this post pleasing.

Great and fitting quote. If you're going to be hated villains, you might as well be cool ones.

Oh, I just ran across a pic that you might like a lot. I bet you'll envy Madoka's position in it. Enjoy!

Sorry if you don't get my nWo reference with the Madoka Magica girls. Trust me, it's a compliment.

Scott Hall used to be Razor Ramon, a personal favorite of mine during the lean years of the WWF (the mid-90s). And Scott is the guy who Sayaka is being fused with in that mWo (Madoka World Order) pic.

    Thanks for the warm welcome.

Elfen Lied was something I saw early in my anime viewings. It had a big effect on me then and still does. My early years, particularly my teens, really sucked. I was able to identify with Lucy's pain and what caused her to become a monster, remembering I had to constantly keep my morality in tow in order to prevent people from warping me. It was a relief to learn that was the manga-ka's reason for writing Elfen Lied - to detail the inhumanity people inflict on others and how a monster is created. A lot of people don't get that. They just think it's shock value only, which is sad.

Ah, Fumoffu. Such great times. Also was the title I liked most of KyoAni works. But of course, Fumoffu wasn't one of their big sellers so they wouldn't care. However, you may be pleased to know about a month ago, there was an announcement that a new FMP manga was being written, but with new characters.

Endless Eight seemed to achieve one thing - ramp up the hate for Haruhi and turn it into Yuki fandom. So despite S1's 41k average sales dropping to 19k for S2, the huge box office profits and 100k sales of Disappearance have validified what KyoAni did. The author of the light novel recommenced writing his version. He recently became the first person to have a light novel have 1 million copies sold for a single volume, so the Haruhi franchise still has a lot of life yet. The problen is, what would KyoAni turn it into? At this point, Yuki is the face of the franchise in Japan now.

Haibane Renmei is the only other series about purgatory. Note it doesn't contain moe and is a fairly dark series. (Was rather bemused when I saw Rakka on a necklace match list in ISML) But it's a great title. Bamboo Blade is moe but manly at the same time. The influence of Taniguchi Goro on this series is evident in its flair, strong character depth and epic feel despite its content. Garden of Sinners is probably the one Type-Moon title that got the proper treatment in anime form. It is slow, it is a bit dialogue heavy at times. But it's visual brilliance with a very potent character cast, some damn fine action and a good anti-hero as the lead.

Hi there. Saw you lurking recently on my page. Just thought I'd come say hello to you. Think I've seen you in the ISML thread too.

Nice to see another Elfen Lied fan. Loved that series. Full Metal Panic was a good one, particularly the Fumoffu series. Steins;Gate might be my fave from this year. Angel Beats was the better end of the Key spectrum. I like Haruhi's character and the concept but some parts of the overall package have tarnished the franchise for me - particularly Endless Eight and KyoAni's drive to make Yuki more popular than Haruhi in Japan.

Here's a link to an old vid of mine that you might get a chuckle out of. It's a little bit risque in the humor, but hopefully you'll like it.

Don't worry on ISML. I've gathered from your voting history that you're not fond of Haruhi.

I like genki girls in general. In one case, that makes us agree a lot. In other cases, not so much, lol.

For what it's worth, I'd probably vote for Sayaka against just about anybody. In moe competitons, she's the perfect darkhorse (or, if you prefer, blue horse ) and has that underdog charm to her.

I think I found it. Is this it?:

If so, I will get voting on it in a hour - I have to wait that long due to the region I am in, apparently.

Where do you go to vote in Korean Moe contests? Just give me a link to the voting arena, and I'll vote for Sayaka as long as she's in the tournament.
