So Wizard barristers is about legal officers in a court of magic. Ok that totally appeals in the lawyer in me lol.

Will be checking out Wizard Barristers in the near future. Though my dose of AWESOME is in Space Dandy at the moment. Also lol Galilei Donna (and Samurai Flamenco). Talk about two noitamina shows that completely trainwrecked.

I seriously doubt that Wake up Girls is going to be a full out social commentary that scathed on the idol industry, but if it does elect to do a social commentary, it will take a balanced approach of both celebrating but also criticising the more ugly parts of the industry. If they manage to do this on top of the heartwarming, down-to-earth rags-to-riches success story, then it will truly an excellent anime and a best case scenario.

However, I'm keeping expectations modest as I'm half-expecting for one or more of these wanted elements not to be present or in a manner that I want it to be presented, given how awful the start of the season has been.

I'm slowly making my way through the new Winter 2014 season, but at this juncture, you've seen more than I have.

My carryovers are mostly the same as yours, except I'm admittedly behind on Golden Time and Tokyo Ravens (so, for me, the two I'm most pumped for are Kill La Kill and NagiAsu). Another carryover for me is Samurai Flamenco, as it appeals a lot to my love of superheroes.

Romance dramas are something I need to be in the right mood for, and I haven't been in the mood for Golden Time lately. I love Tokyo Ravens when it's in the latter stages of a major arc, but its more slower-paced comedy-esque episodes are just Ok to me.

For the new shows, I'm loving Sakura Trick. I like how the yuri is more clear-cut and sincere in this show than any many supposed yuri shows. Its also incredibly moe in general, in my view.

I'm also a big Saki fan, so I'm watching the new Saki anime.

The Pilot's Love Song looks promising, especially with its potential main romance, so that's a keep.

I can see why some would love D-Frag, but the over-the-top style of comedy it uses usually loses me after awhile. For example, it eventually lost me with Sket Dance, an anime with similar comedy.

The other shows you specifically mentioned I haven't checked out yet.

As for shows you didn't mention, I really liked Nobunagun and Buddy Complex. Witchcraft Works and Magical Warfare both show some promise, but after Strike The Blood ended up disappointing me, I'm now a bit more cautious when it comes to magic action shows that remind me of Shana, lol.

I like having a steady helping of action in my anime diet, and just a side-helping of comedy. Perhaps its the opposite for you?

Downloaded the episode to determine what you were talking about .

To be honest, I thought it was meh. The girl was too overy-cutesy, the song too high-pitched and squeaky... it's not something that is suited for my tastes unfortunately. As for the rest of the show... it's a poor man's version of Silver Spoon. And I don't even like Silver Spoon that much...

If you watched the WUG movie and didn't like it then I can't convince you since I thought that was slightly better than the first episode of the TV series.

Looks like we're in complete opposite this season. Somewhat rare .

Nisekoi I'm entertained because of Shaft style which otherwise is a incredibly generic premise. But the wacky directing actually makes it entertaining and unlike some other shows I've seen with the same style, it has no pretention (trying to be more deep and clever than it is) so it's tolerable if not somewhat likable.

Wake up Girls I'm enjoying straight out. I watched the 1h prequel OVA beforehand which btw if you haven't is essential to watch prior to the TV episode 1 as it is not just some sidestory, and I have a feeling it's going to be more about the social commentary on how "fucked up" the idol industry is alongside the dance scenes and the lot. Not to mention, Mayu, one of the main characters (if not the main) reminds me of Wakana from Tari Tari, and the whole bad history with Mayu's previous idol group is similar to Wakana's bad history with music due to her mother. Not to mention they have similar personalities and how the plot is progressing out is actually somewhat too. Anything that reminds me of Tari Tari is a very good thing in my books.

So this season, I took a liking to Wake up Girls and Nisekoi... Wtf is wrong with me? I blame the season for being an absolute stinker

This might come as a surprise... but Nagi no Asu Kara may have me sold from this 2nd cour.
