Also, it's funny how retrospectively the more I reflect, the more I think HSI was a great series, and that it's "down" episodes were exaggerated aside from episode 3 and a certain Takako/Enishi one at around 17 or something (the minkoface one) and that the majority of its episodes were actually really good, with some outstanding ones like the premier, ending and the Tokyo arc.

Tari Tari hasn't changed, always loved the series and still do. True Tears was going up and up due to lack of great pure romance series and then White Album 2 aired and I got my dose after 5 years. Uchouten Kazoku was amazing but for some reason I have a feeling I'm going to forget how good it was unless I actually rewatch it at some point, whilst with PA's anime original shows (except for NagiAsu), I will always remember them because of their particular atmosphere/style and its female characters. I think this is where that whole DVD/Bluray purchasing mentality comes in where heart > head as I still don't own Uchoten Kazoku. NagiAsu I will remember as an example of Okada indulgence and how I now want nothing with her anymore. Not buying that series.

I don't really have strong opinions on Another and Canaan but I did enjoy them at the time. Angel Beats and Red Data girl belong in the GTFO and Cool story bro tier respectively.

But really, I'm not a PA works fanboy by any means.

    Spoiler for Real Reaction:

Also Pre-HSI and Tari Tari, I didn't really care about PA Works, I just loved True Tears. Then they released those + Uchouten Kazoku + Nagikara to an extent (though I didn't like this one very much as you already know) and now are building a studio image around the anime original slice of life/coming of age genre with the latest instalment going to be Glasslip. But unlike some studios (*cough Kyoani*) they don't tunnel vision into one genre and do try to experiment albeit it results in mixed results - Red Data Girl quality to Uchouten Kazoku quality (I should stop hating on RDG...)

But yeh, post HSI and Tari Tari was when fagmode was activated.

Is it because of Tomoe? I thought it would have been Uchouten Kazoku for you by this point.

I'm expecting Glasslip to be in the top tier though! I believe!

One of my best friends (Reth on this forum, but he doesn't post much) is a big fan of the Atelier games and whilst he's been trying to get me to play the franchise along with some other JRPGs... unfortunately I can't get into the JRPG genre unless if you are called Persona or games made by Atlus. Nonetheless, I watched the pilot episode and it was decent. I did find the main girl a bit annoying though and too squeaky (common problem in anime though) and the atmosphere a bit too fluffy... but then again One Week Friends was the same too but without that oomph factor that ef tale of memories did. Conclusion, both Atelier and One Week Friends are on probation atm.

I also tried No Game no Life, Knights of Sidonia, Hitsugi no Chaika, Brynhildr in the Darkness, Mahouka and Soul eater Not and they didn't catch my attention. I'll let the AS hipster council TM decide the outcome of that .

Soredemo Sekai though is a definite keeper. You were completely right that it was right up my alley . That and Mushishi are two of that have caught my interest.

I'll give Akuma no Riddle and Ping Pong a try very soon.

Btw, I'm enjoying Nisekoi way more than I should (I should hate the shit out of it)... I blame the character designs. They are so GOOD and wasted on trash like this. Particularly this new girl Marika. Can we bring her to a PA Works show instead and completely rework her personality. Cause you know, PA Works have learnt some terribad habits from Kyoani with sameface syndrome and they need to relearn how to draw proper characters!

But if I was to be completely honest I just want Summer to come so I can get my PA Works fix with Glasslip since NagiAsu was bloody dissappointing and that ran for bloody 2 cours grrrr!
