I'm happy that she came up and cleared everything up about Kallen's deleted S1 kiss recently (I was almost regretting posting that magazine scan from Megami )...and I guess she might very well be right (until something else says otherwise) about where the infamous Kallen gum line could have been used (C.C. vs Kallen in Turn 24).

Yup. She is still very helpful ^^ That's why everyone here is fan of her XD. However I wonder how she feels about the ending. She was a big fan of lelouch.

Well, we're all awaiting this month's magazines with a lot of interest, to say the least.

I hope we will get some infos, but the majority of the press will be focused on gundam. So, I wonder if there will be some infos like an interview (about CG)

There's always a chance at least part of it might be addressed in some Picture Drama...I would have said in a Sound Episode too, but the ones from this season are mainly for fun, not for clearing things up. Quite a few things could have happened during the two month time skip, but I guess we're supposed to believe C.C. and Lelouch already talked about the whole plan beforehand as well, perhaps including the promise.

I feel sad because if he is really dead, then it will come a time when, because of the flow of time, when she will forget everything about lelouch, his voice, his name, etc and then she will become sad again.

She had the choice, i think, to force the code on him (like what the nun did to her), but because she cared/loved for him, she didn't. That was her only chance to lose her immortality in 600 years of existence, but she sacrificed that, because it was not a common human, it was lelouch.

Lelouch on his side, sacrificed his existence for the sake of a better world.

I don't say it's a bad ending, but it doesn't matter how much I look at it, that's not a happy ending for those two.

The band aid does have some kind of symbolism, I imagine that was put there for a reason, in the story board and in the series itself...but the question is: what? A sign that they would end up together, even if they are not really "married"? Something else? We also don't know how much C.C. really remembers about her time as the slave girl, from what little I can tell...

I don't say it has to be that romantic, maybe it's not at all. I just want to know if it has a meaning or if they did that for the lulz

Eh, let them debate. I'm fine with open endings and I like being able to view it as I will. I would love him to say something like that. Just so long as he doesn't confirm his death, I am fine.

Yes, that was probably the first show I saw that didn't view immortality entirely in a bad light. Hell, look at Isaac and Miria. They handled it the best by being too stupid to realize it until 80 years later. I loved those two. Of course it isn't canon. And I'm fine with that. Let it be open. Let people use their imagination for any interpretation they wish. Granted, the only people that would really do this are people who think he isn't dead. I think he would accept it and it would also let him keep his promises to C.C..

No, I don't think she'd automatically know the truth...but I thought maybe she had read something new. Only that. I like her opinions too, and she's been a very helpful person. True, it's a shame, but at least she's still around.

^^ Yup, and she still shows up when we need her help XD

I read what you posted here. It sounds like a good idea...but that depends on how the "gods" interpret Lelouch's wish. Or maybe you could also say the "gods" were responsible for transferring Charles's Code to Lelouch, without either of them noticing? C.C.'s praying to the "gods" is an interesting observation too. Once you accept that the "gods" are intervening in the story, it can happen in different ways.

But in order to teach a decisive conclusion...I'm waiting for an interview or picture drama that can put things in perspective, even if still ambiguously. It would be a happier ending if he's alive, of course, for both Lelouch and C.C.

I'm waiting for some interview about the background around the characters too. Because even me is a bit annoyed by what happened.

I mean, something happened imo during the two months timeskip between lelouch and c.c., even if it was not shown on screen. I mean, they had the time to talk about some things. Because if nothing happened then the T15 and 24 make no sense at all.

I also rewatched the T17 and 18 and I still don't understand the "focus" and "close up" on the band aid in two scenes for two episodes. If it had no meaning I don't understand the point to have done these scenes. + The comment from the korean blog make me think that he just c/p the comment of the story board. So maybe this comment has a meaning since the SB could have something written on it about band aid / ring thing. Maybe it was not a mistake by this blogger, but maybe just a detail about the symbolism of this band aid written on the SBoard.

Oh, that's tough. It also took awhile for me to digest all of it, but it's pretty settled now. Yep, agreed.

Yeah, such a long wait to see all of it. But hopefully some of them will add some missing parts and improve the epilogue.

I agree with your assessment if that line was going to be used there. Maybe they decided to not intensify the romance plot for the finale and this changed line was part of that plan? It suits the ambiguous route. Well, this line was never suppose to be known to us in the first place , so we'll probably never know the story behind it. Just more to speculate on.

True. For the newer series, I think I'll be picking up Nodame for laughs to balance it out. I saw that there was going to be another sequel to Clannad, but I wish they would continue the Full Metal Panic series already.

Taniguchi also seems to like open endings since pretty much all of his works are open to some degree and allow for one to use their imagination. Of course, it may mean he is forced to do them, but I think he likes them anyway. I think they should just ignore the pressure and tell people to deal with it and have a little imagination.

I learned this from Baccano! actually since that seemed to be something of a big point with that show. I also liked a comparison to King Arthur Vallen made on the idea that Arthur is alive in Avalon waiting for the time the world needs him again. If one wants to believe Lelouch is immortal, you could say he is taking a long term responsibility for watching over the world he and Suzaku ushered in.

Oh, I would think we would all do that, which is why I hope he tries to keep it vague enough so the evidence doesn't lean too heavily on either side. An open ending in this case is the best one since there are those that prefer him dead and those that would prefer him alive.

Well, it depends I suppose. Immortality might not be so terrible if you aren't alone and Lelouch would sort of be watching things in the world to see that they do not return to the way they were. I prefer to think they are together at the very least, but that is just me.

I think of it as an alright ending and maybe not as bad as I thought. There are still problems with it of course, but I can live with it.

Yes, I have. I rather doubt that we ever will get a clear word on all this unless they confirm he died. I don't think they are ever going to confirm he lived.

I don't really think it changes that much except that in some ways, Lelouch is enduring the same thing that Suzaku is going through except for eternity.

After a few days, I feel more accepting of the ending, but still disappointed at the length of the epilogue due to time constraints. They should have skipped the OP. Using the ending credits to add more scenes would have been good too. What about you?

Jeremiah apparently said the key words to Anya. Who would have guessed that. In the same post, Koshimizu had an opinion on Kallen's gum line in the Ep. thread.

Are you still planning to hold off on 00 for awhile? I think I'll at least check out the first episode.

Hmm...so she doesn't really know? I suppose time will tell what was the truth, but those are all possibilities. Thanks for the information.

Rofl, how do you want her to know the truth about that :O? She is just very open minded. She is not biased at all, this is so rare. And her opinions are rather interesting. Really, this is a shame that she stopped to post a lot on AS.

I really need to go back and read that then, because I wonder how that would work...I've been a less active these last couple of days. Trying to clear my mind a bit.

So, did you read, Mister ^_~?

Just one question...what Koshimizu told you was that the gum line for Kallen

that they may have worded it wrong, that it happened in CG, or that kallen could have say that suzaku "if you say, I love japan...."

As for C.C.'s Code....I think that's an interesting idea but...it would have been better if, say, Lelouch replied at the end and said C.C.'s name.

TBH now I think he was resurrected by the gods, as I said it in the lelouch thread. The gods part in CG is important imo.
