Yeah, there's nothing more memorable than your first convention together, especially one that suits your hobbies and interests. I've met interesting people and it still puts a smile on my face when I remember it. My friend parent's and family are supportive of anime compared to mine who shun me for me it. Still won't stop me from loving anime from now until forever. I look forward to my next convention.

We can talk ClariS stuff, but be warned: Once I start it'll go on forever so be prepared for that if we do get on that subject. Still ClariS ftw the win, can't wait to hear their new single Luminous soon.

That'll be tough because for one...
    Spoiler for Surprise:

I think a gakuran and some stuff I think I'll be fine. I always wanted to cosplay as a Jiang shi. That'll be cool and neat.

I've seen the malls, the business districts and the other nice architecture that can hold many special events. I'm amazed how much space and resources they have to hold many events. In Ottawa we do, but not that many from what I've seen. We've got the Westin Hotel, Art's Court Theatre, and the art exhibits etc.

I'll be sure to be more careful. I often do research on places before I visit them. I'll be sure to bring a friend so that when I do get in trouble at least I'll know everything will be fine. I'm really careful with my money... most of the time. When convention time comes around, I generally work my butt off to save for extra money, pay rent, and buy groceries etc. I work 7-10 hours for five days a week depending on my shift, but I generally get most weekends off, so I like my job, for now.

I'm glad you liked what you've seen of Ottawa. If you ever plan to visit just let me know and I'll show you a good time. I'll even show you the place where I took that "gift card" pic, you liked. I know that city like the back of my hand.

Lol, did you take a picture of you getting spoonfed? If you did, you should really upload it here! Everyone would envy you! Too bad that butler cafes are not as popular as maid cafes. I would really love to be spoonfed by a bishie!

Okay here's a brief story about my first convention ever:

    Spoiler for Kirito's First AniCon:

I hope my story didn't bore you.

I'm absolutely crazy about ClariS! The sig I'm using is definite proof of my support and love for their music and creativity. Been a fan since Oreimo and haven't looked back to this day. You saw them live? Really? If you did, you'll definitely make me feel jealous to the point where I would drift into a deep depression. Jk, jk.

At my first convention (I went to two in my life time) the seatings were also free too, but the good spots often got taken pretty fast, well it's do or die at conventions at times. I want to cosplay as something but I can't because of my skin color and I'm not that good looking. I'm thinking of buying a gakuran and cosplaying as an anime high school student at a next convention.

Most conventions that I attended were at famous places that hold venues for celebrities and important business associates. The anime scene is strong among average people but as a business it's not taken as seriously compared to other countries that sponsor those events. Cosplay contest, if you have pics show them to me!

Your country and the place you live looks really pretty. I'll definitely put it in my top 5 places to visit before I hit 30 list. It looks really convenient and huge to hold many conventions/events, truly impressive. Thanks for sharing with me.

I'll be sure to takes lots of pics, you have my word! Really, I also have a couple of relatives in Mississauga too, weird coincidence.
Since you've shown me a bit of where you live. I'm show you my a bit of mine. It's not as fancy as yours but I hope you'll like what you're about to see, enjoy!

While the debate is American-centric, examples from other countries would be a welcome addition. After all, America is not the only country that has guns. Even countries that have banned guns, had guns at some point. While the examples from other countries can't be laid over America perfectly, they provide some context for what we could expect and what we should do.

I'll take that into consideration. The pictures you've taken at least to me shown that you were having a great time, and the people there as well. I don't think the type of camera matters, just the overall experience. When it comes to conventions I just want to bring out the best in what I take and not half-ass it because the overall experience is astounding. I remember my first convention, but that story will be saved for another day if you're interested in hearing it. Thanks I plan to engage more in photography a bit more when I get a new camera. I'll let you know how that goes.

Really? Oh well, at least the bands and whoever attended were having fun right, so that's all that matters. I would kill to see a ClariS like duo sings their songs on stage, and I'll fight for the 1st row seat spot. They're just so awesome! Of course I'll sell an organ or do whatever to see the real them life. The ClariS fan in me is really quite scary... oh well, they rock so that's all that matters.

I thought cons were a lot bigger in the US because of the content you get. You get the bands, artists, directors, and seiyuu's and we in Canada hardly get squat. When I do attend a convention you'll be the first to know, and I'll definitely show you the pics I take from there, Canadian style!

I'm from Canada btw. Ottawa, Ontario to be exact.

Lol, so cool that you got to experience a real maid cafe. Tell me, was it crowded with only guys?
So were you spoonfed the entire time you were there? I am sure that is one experience you would not forget.

He is not on Animesuki, and I can't ask him now since he has gone back to our home country. He is very particular about his figurines, so one reason why he purchases from the US is because he prefers the design? Hmm, I don't know.

I'm glad you liked them, particularly the first one. I'm thinking of getting into photography because taking pictures is pretty fun and interesting, plus I'm studying to become a writer as well. so I might pursue both fields as I get more used to working with a camera. As for the pics, I took the pictures with my Iphone 4S. Weird, but I just suddenly had the urge to take it because the scenery was so astounding and clear at the time.

There's nothing more beautiful than watching a sunset on Ottawa's own Parliament Hill. I plan to take a photo of a sunrise from up there soon. So that's how you do, okay, thanks!

Oh yes, I watched the link and the band is pretty interesting. There didn't seem to be a huge crowd though, but it looked like they were having a good time. The camera was a bit shaky and the volume was off at times, but none the less it was really interesting. Thanks for sharing.

Can't wait for the next convention to hit my area, this could take awhile.
