Hum, peculiar question, but is there any chance a mod, might give a username-change to a poster, without the given poster, having to post in the actual thread for it?

Ah sorry, I had meant to answer you but got distracted. Im not watching it yet, I remember when I read the summary nothing about it jumped at me. I do like Shaft mostly, I enjoy SZS and MariaHolic.

The funny thing is that I don't like sports anime all that much either - I think the last one that I really liked was Hikaru no Go, and that was years ago. For that matter, I'm not really a fan of hot-blooded shounen fighting anime either. So it's a bit of a surprise how much goodness I'm getting from Basquash when it basically combines both these elements. Likewise, I'm also liking Sengoku Basara a lot even though it plays counter to my normal tastes. That may be because I'm just about willing to watch anything about the Sengoku era, but there's a certain charm to the show that I like - it helps that it doesn't even pretend to be realistic.

I'm also watching Tears and Tiara, but I have yet to be sold on the show. I find myself gravitating more to stuff like Hatsukoi Limited. I find most of the female characters in the show to be insufferable, but the male characters are surprisingly amusing, and the overall chemistry is quite pleasant.

thanks!! i hadn't seen many good cosplays for ages.... so i thought i had to put them up. Sooooo many people ruin anime with dodgy cosplays and i'm not sure if everyone has seen any good bleach cosplay recently - i had raise peoples hopes that there are good cosplayers out there!!

Sorry about taking so long to get back to you. I've been sick as a dog lately, and I haven't had the energy to do much. I've watched the first few episodes of Cross Game so far, and I'm fairly impressed. On the one hand, it feels like an extremely old-fashioned sports show, but it still works very well. I think that it's proof that there's a lot of life in those older styles (as an aside, I watched Slumdog Millionaire recently, and that only adds further support).

As far as good first episodes go, I think that Cross Game's was very good, but I also think that the first episodes of Basquash and Eden of the East are even better. As it happens, Eden of the East, and Basquash are my favorites of the season - Eden of the East being very much up my alley (Screwball comedy + thriller? Yay!), and Basquash almost precisely becomes it runs so counter to my normal tastes. The other two sports anime, Cross Game and Saki would be right behind them. All in all, this is shaping up to be a great season even though there wasn't any extreme standout like Marimite.

Hi Monir! I'm just wondering, why don't you use Imageshack.us for uploading the Sengoku Basara pictures in the first post of the thread. I believe they have a pretty neet options to have thumbs. (I seem to remember you mentioned it somewhere that you wanted to put them on as Thumbs).
I don't know how long they stay stored though, but I reckon it might look a bit more practical and nicer for the time being.
